Hey guys! Apologies if this has been answered before, but I’m curious how people are overcoming: 1. The significant delay between the scanners (huge thanks again to @herewegoagain and @Benyounes) picking up ticket availability and our browsers being able to see them available 2. The ticketing portal logging me out after a few times of refreshing a match page making me sign back in again (im not timing out) 3. Logging in directly to the match page and not the resale platform main page to save a few clicks last 3-5 drops I’ve been right on time or a few min early and already signed in but wondering if I need to change approach or it’s just luck based. Thank you in advance!
Right, curious how can the scanners see the availability earlier is it because they are sitting closer to fifa’s servers or there’s other tricks to bypass the cdn?
Alright peeps at this point I’m debating whether to still hunt for Spain v Germany tickets or just settle for an earlier game. Game is at 10 ending at midnight, my flight back home is at 6:40am. I figure a couple of hours getting back to the hotel, picking up my bags, checking out, off to the airport another hour or so. With it being an international flight + all the other people leaving or coming in idk how long it would take checking bags as well. So with that being said I’m wondering if there’s lockers at the airport so If I score Spain v Germany tickets I can leave bags in lockers before I head to the game then I can just head straight to the airport right after the game. Im hoping a local could possibly answer these questions or someone who’s experienced a tournament like the Arab cup at least. 3 questions: 1: are there lockers at the airport? 2: how big are they? 3: how’s traffic after a game at Al Bayt?
if scanner is written correctly, it is querrying fifa database directly and has nothing to do with the ticketing website
Interesting - how is that possible is the fifa database public (but secretly) accessible? I thought the scanners were keep requesting and parsing the same ticketing sites but they somehow could see availability earlier
1: No lockers available to general public as of now. 2: 3: Al Bayt is the furthest stadium to airport. traffic now will be unpredictable. A good solution for you is to hire a car which can be dropped in airport. So you can keep your luggage in the car and drive direct to airport. This will be give you plenty of time without rushing.
Guys, let's please stick to tickets, travel tips, and accommodation. Covid discussion is on topic IF it pertains to entry requirements into Qatar or a connecting country. Good luck with the ticket drop. Hope you guys can cart the elusive matches everyone is after!
The delay, I’m not sure how to circumvent. I think just gotta deal with it and perhaps be on a page immediately as drops start coming. That way you can refresh and potentially beat the scanners. Still no guarantee you’ll be able to cart. Regarding the logging out, you might be using an old link that doesn’t work for that match. Double check your match links to make sure they’re the most recent. Some have productID in them with a long number next to it and others have two long numbers. Not sure if this is what logging you out but it was an issue for me one time.
https://www.breakingtravelnews.com/news/article/tawfeeq-travel-opens-doors-of-17th-travel-hub/ Let’s hope they will change opening hours during the world cup
Precisely. And, we're just getting started about travel to this World Cup. For example, I am just so darn handsome and charming that women literally follow me to my room everywhere I go. So what am I going to do when all those young Qatari and Emirates ladies start to chase me?
There is no left baggage facility at the airport - but there are some small lockers. Traffic is anyone's guess but I think the prognosis is that it's going to slow around the stadiums, The approach is to wait for the WC to start and see how things go...
You mean “http.request” or “curl” the page to get its source content and then parse it, right? Or it is a different way then I don’t know yet
Regarding the CAT 4 discussion, some personal experience WC2014, Final game, Maracana Stadium Me and one of my friends had a ticket we've bought from a sponsor, while the 3rd of us had bought it to some brazilian girl and had to go and pick it up somewhere in Rio. He left early in the morning to get it and we met again back at the gates. We all walked together trough the gates, those huge full body turnstiles, one next to the other. We went through and then we realized that our 3rd friend, was not there, as he had been eaten by the turnstiles! There he was, at the end of the gates, far left from us: he walks towards me, as he was approaching you can see his face beeing whitey white, liked he'd seen a ghost. "They sold me a Handicapped ticket". Still he made it. As he placed the ticket on the gate, the light went red. The steward told him he should take the far left entrance. When he arrived, he saw the wheelchair logo. He panicked. Without saying a word, he placed the ticket on the sensor, light went green, the guy on the other side greeted him and then he was in. No questions asked. PS: In the past they've never asked for id or anything like that, I don't they why this it'll be the exception.
Thanks for the insight. *causally proceeds to buy wheelchair tickets from now on* lol in all seriousness, it’s probably still a toss up whether it’ll be the same experience as in 2014 or if Qatar will be more strict.
