McT showcased his lack of any talent all pre-season and has followed that up today.

Just not in any way starter quality. We have to try one of the other options there next game - all are preferable in the long run.

Play Garner and Iqbal there. Any pair but McFred.

I'm not even sure he's squad level quality. Or at least, that shouldn't be our squad level standard.

Donny making wide open runs and calling while Shaw just passes it around the back line.

Donny runs into space and calls for the ball and Shaw ignores him and passes backwards …

Why do we insist on putting the ball in the air when we can't win individual battles or second balls??

I feel like Shaw and Maguire are saboteurs but hard to discern their motive.

Where is the connector? I just saw Ronaldo have to come all the way back to try and get the ball forward while Shaw and Maguire were happy to pass the ball around in the back.

    Fin 1-2

First OT loss ever to Brighton.

New season, new manager, same problems from same players - McFred & Mag especially.

A very quick glance at top line stats tells the story.

We had significantly more possession and more passes. And yet, the vast majority of the game was played in the middle 3rd or our defensive 3rd on the pitch.

We just don't know how to incisively move a ball vertically up the pitch.

Our game is punctuated by casual sideways or backwards passing, until we get frustrated and either punt it long or turn it over from calculated opposition pressing.

I know yall dont want to hear this. Especially with McFred still playing, but it will take time.

All our games vs Brighton, this is the first one we controlled at least half the game. Like real control.
