Not necessarily true. I think they can play effective together IF they have quality service. Costa and Cabral ain't that.
Only saw the 2nd half. Don't know what to make of this one. Everyone seemed incredibly poor. Tired and making very bad decisions. Could be the heat plus the mid-week game was just too much. Don't know. Nightmarish game.
These guys started the match tired even tho they only played half a match v chivas. Most of the goals came in the first half. No heat problem first half. Just a bad @$%^ng team
Vanney is ********ed. His DP wingers suck. His outside backs suck. We essentially can’t rely on anyone playing the wings lol
My old man never got that memo, he rode me hard when he noticed my shall we say less than interested attitude of playing sports. Of course now I can sit back and thank him for putting me through that rough patch as it helped my through some hard times as an adult. I guess latino dad's are just made different.
Mid week exhaustion I'd like to see if Madrid, PSG, Bayern, Inter and Man City have that excuse for the league after a champions league match?
I’m not sure El Cajon counted as a wealthy area back then - or even now. But the whole blaming participation trophies is a ridiculous. I know it wasn’t your premise, but if participation trophies ruined the current crop of Galaxy players why didn’t it ruin the current crop of LAFC players? Are participation trophies a thing in France and Brasil too? It’s a straw man argument that has no bearing on the Galaxy being dog shit bad.
It's always its too hot, its too cold, its too high, it's not grass, it's too wet, we have played too much, we haven't played in two weeks.... always some damn excuse!
It's OK though at least someone will think of a positive and give them a pass because it's not PC to hold them accountable and give them heat like Man U, Juve, Real etc.
I just stated my experience and I don't recall blaming participation trophies for this shite team. I will say people react to trophies and accolades differently, some just want acknowledgement that they did a thing, others have the mentality that they want to win and have the biggest trophies that only a few can attain. for every Ibra there is a Tanguy so forth and so on. this team seems to lack a mental toughness and the highest played players seem to be the most apathetic
Night all I'm gonna go enjoy my participation beer even though I didn't give my all to my landscaping project today
I kind of think its because the US soccer media is just different then the media around the world, you never really hear US soccer media take teams to task and whether we like it or not MLS is still considered a niche sports league here. I know the US sports media has it in them to be ruthless, just look at the NY Media, or the Lakers/Dodgers media when things get tough, it just hasn't translated to American soccer
no worries, despite the Galaxy loss, I'm still basking in the glory of the 4-1 Tottenham victory this morning
And that is a problem that gives the club respite from awful performances and seasons. If the media won't do it we the supporters should especially with social media very prevalent today.
Just out of curiosity would you consider it a "WIN" if spurs were in the Europa league instead of the champions league?
agreed, however there is a fine line between being a level headed supporter with valid criticisms and the dingbats that think the Galaxy can go out and get a Ronaldo by making a phone call or thinking they could do a better job managing the team, when they can't even manage their checkbook. The sad thing is these dingbats are so vocal that it washes out any valid criticism by level headed supporters and by default the organization tunes it all out and they miss the valid criticism and we get stuck with this trash fire of a team
I would not consider it a win, I would considerate it a failure, however being a Spurs supporter for a long time, you are always prepared for being letdown because its the "Spurs Way" due to the history of disappointments
Agreed it's preposterous to think we can get CR7 or any high caliber player just by writing a check. It depends on the player and how firmly they believe the FO is in line with their ambitions of winning. Clearly for a few seasons now that hasn't been our case and I for one am sick of it.
Even though we have not the history of a club like spurs, with our limited time we have not been let down this much through our executive branch and their hand picked care takers. If the lads lose because the competition was just better I can live with it. But to play football like you're in a Sunday rec league in what seems like week in and week out that is a whole new problem!
