Keep trying! At least this time Arg vs. Mex actually appeared on the page in large quantities of CAT2 and CAT3. I have a good friend who managed to buy 2xCAT3 Arg Mex this morning so it's not impossible.

 

So.., What can we do!!!

 

I've never had difficulties securing ARG tickets in the past (noting my last WC was 2010)... even with Maradona in the squad. Why is the demand for ARG tickets so high right now? I mean you guys are obsessed over group C matches! Yes it is nice to see La Pulga play, but he is well past his prime. Did Argentina strike it rich these past few years (and I missed it) such that the entire country can afford to travel to Qatar?

 

Just drop your bags at your hotel/apartment - they all appear to have luggage storage as an option. There's even a (small) chance you could check-in and refresh before going to the match.

 

So could FIFA be prioritizing certain countries? I'm in the US but still had a delay compared to scanner

I was just trying to add Poland vs. Argentina tickets, but kept getting errors. I then went and added another random match to my cart just to see the flow, and when I got to my cart, there was also a Poland vs Argentina ticket there! So be sure to check your carts, there may be a surprise there even if the buy page says "Your cart is empty."

I've got 18 matches now. I think I'm good.

Will be keen to hear what my hermanos have to say to you, but my opinion is that you need to look at the specifics of each match.

Match 8 - ARG x KSA (Lusail):
- Messi factor (increases demand from international fans)
- Scaloneta factor (increases demand from national fans)
- Opponent is KSA (huge fan base in this tournament)

Match 24 - ARG x MEX (Lusail):
- Messi factor (increases demand from international fans)
- Scaloneta factor (increases demand from national fans)
- Opponent is Mexico (huge fan base in this tournament)
- Game is on the first Saturday of the tournament at 10PM - that's likely to be the prime day/time with the most fans in Qatar (there's even a lack of hotels for this day)

Match 39 - ARG x POL (Stadium 974):
- Messi factor (increases demand from international fans)
- Scaloneta factor (increases demand from national fans)
- Small stadium (half capacity of Lusail)

 

Quite the opposite on striking it rich, though some take advantage of the cycle and save in hard currency. Maybe an escape from the glum economic reality, combined with strong passion for soccer and Messi's last WC. Russia also had strong demand from Argentinians even though we were arriving in a soccer and economic turmoil, this time the soccer part is more promising.

 

I wish Peru qualified. Would have been good to see the fans and the team in the World Cup. Looking at the Aus tickets, seems nobody's interested.

 

I wish Colombia would have qualified, more quality and would also have strong demand. Also not sure why our 5th team had to play the playoff against Asia and concacaf against NZ, doesn't seem fair.
