It's starting to be clear that we will have 3 big drops per day ! I think they are doing this so that people from different time zones could score their tickets.
I can get availability numbers here and there, but not when the drop happens, as I'm looking for tickets myself. Feds/sponsor returns should be a lot larger indeed.
It's quite hard to react fast once you get one alert. Every time I got one, I went to my tab where I'd opened the match I faced that the session was expired, so I need to re-login and then it's too late.
Just for my education: When you say bots, do you mean there is a way to set up a software (similar to what the scanners do) that not only recognizes when tickets are dropped but that also carts them?
I have found that it is around 730-0800UTC, 1630-1700UTC and then I think 2330-0000UTC if my time zone math is correct
I guess so, yes. If you can develop something to scan and emit an event to discord, you can also make an "automatic click" to add it to the cart.
I'm going to this one as well - part of the 4-match package I bought in phase 1, and my last live game before I travel home late that night.
For anyone looking for hotel - Radisson Blu isn’t showing availability yet but has appeared/moved between other $300 per night properties. I would think rates will appear soon. Whether it remains around that price is another matter
thank god for this forum and the discord app, i was trying to get two main games. USA vs IRAN which i scored today, and the Poland Vs Argentina which ill keep looking out for.
I've set up a super fast scanner (only for the tickets I need) both here in Brazil and in the US. The availability info (needed to show the dropdown menu) was 4 full minutes late here. When I finally got a dropdown menu, I didn't even bother, as the remote scanner showed they had been taken 4 minutes before hahaha.
No criticism intended of those who have helpfully provided scanners, but back in 2006 , the legend known as “Sleeper” enabled us to select our desired matches and categories, enter our credit card details, and wake up in the morning to look in our inboxes for the confirmation emails. Eternally grateful! ❤️
Their dynamic pricing won't be controlled because they are effectively a monopoly. Read more into their methods - John Oliver did a whole segment on them. Very few tickets actually go on sale to the general public. The "bots" you don't see on there still exist. The brokers bought in bulk thru Ticketmaster bc they're buddies and put it on the resale platform. The touts are happy. And Ticketmaster double dips on fees. The FIFA store may be getting eaten alive, but at least all of us paid face value for our tickets - some games harder than others, but we all have many tickets for ourselves. Neither system is perfect, but one is more fair. And I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts.
Managed to get Por v Uru and since that extends my stay till the 28th, bought a Bel v Mor ticket as well. Only thing that I want now is Spain v Germany. And maybe Por v Ghana. Decent drop this one just as I was having my coffee at 9am PT
So it would seem to me that there are 3 drops per day separated by about 8 hrs. Each drop simply releases the returns accumulated in the previous 8 hr time frame, give or take. As I imagine returns will steadily decrease over the next 2 weeks as people offload what they don't want, I think the drops will become progressively smaller. Of course as folks pick up what they need, the competition may also drop. Personally I think the LMS will be more fruitful.
I think its tv scheduling, 2 hour gap enough to have post and pre match with a small break for audience. Lots of casual fans watch the wc and you dont want 3-4 hours between end and beginning of matches where they will wander away from your channel.
