    Shit!!!

    Just shit!!!

We are bad, and soft. Got fouled a lot, and didn’t try fouling back. Soft!!!

And our offense is still too damned slow!!

    We’re shit!!!

22 shots, 13 corners(!), we really should have scored at least 1. Couldn’t get a bounce and crappy finishing.

We’re in a slump and with games coming up at LAFC and Austin will probably get worse before
    better.

Once again, Espinoza’s corners just not good enough. One near the end - one of our last chances, crowd on its feet, and it goes lollipop and near the top of the box and triggers a Miami counter. :-(

Well, can't say the Quakes didn't give it their all. That was about 200% effort today.
Gave up that early goal and Miami was Ok to allow Quakes to have possession for a midweek game and all the way across the country.

Pozeulo was a huge addition to their team in this summer window. Imagine adding a player like him just to give you that bit of extra quality. He really made a difference out there.

    What a joke!

Miami is the worst team in the league and the Quakes are even worse than them!

If this team doesn’t add at least 6-10 players in the offseason, I think we will be doomed in 2023 as well!

Honestly , I think things are getting worse with each passing game.

it was comical at times how poor Miami were in the attacking third - a better team and it would’ve been a 4 - 0 rout. Quakes look about as disorganized in the back as I’ve ever seen.

our attack, also poor, Jebo wasn’t much of a factor all night, Benji didn’t look particularly threatening, we looked more creative and likely to score once Shea, Cade and Tsakiris came on.

Hope JT’s okay, Bersano played quite well, tested early, stood up to the challenge. Agren with an assist on the goal but then came up with that great goal line save.

I’d like to see more of Tsakiris.

Nathan came close once or twice and had a decent game. Monteiro too although he’s struggling to thread a dangerous through pass, or connect on a crossing pass...team just looks disjointed but the effort was there as mentioned, the players and coaches are performing up to their potential imo but CL has let them down, the lack of any new players at all is inexcusable.

On the one hand you could say that we were lucky Miami didn’t score a few more with guys alone on the keeper multiple times. But OTOH you could say we were unlucky not to get at least 1 goal with 22 shots and 13 corners. This is where I find xG useful. It was even 1.4 I think. Not good enough for a home game but we probably should have gotten a point.

We need find ways to get a chances advantage on our opponents. Even chances at home, again, is not good enough. The slow build thing is not working well enough and we give up big chances on counters. We’re not good enough to be dangerous on the slow build.

The JazzyJ solution: Become a high pressing team. We get good chances with it. It works! We should have started this game with it. What happens is it leads to turnovers in the opponent’s half, sometimes deep in their half and we have almost no choice but to attack quickly. What do we have to lose?

Painful to see JT hurt like that, but Bersano seems to be more than competent to take over for a few games.

1.25 I think and will probably get worse after the next 2 road games but it’s still 3x Matias’s dismal 0.42 this year. I have predicted he’ll wind up in the 1.3’s at the end of the year. Really blew it by dropping 5 points in the last 2 home games. Could have been 1.57 or so if we’d won those games.

Actually, he was there last game sitting in the stands in his section 106 row 1 seat for the first half. Tonight he was there for the whole game. For Goodsport's information, at both games he was wearing a white Quakes Intermedia Jersey and a black cap.

Eric Wynalda was in the Aftershock chat tonight. Said that he still loves the team. Wouldn’t answer questions about whether or not he would coach the team.

That was almost more exciting than the game. Once we fell behind, I was certain that we’d lose.

    Go Quakesfans!!

WTF are you talking about? Miami is currently tied for the last playoff slot in the east and in eighth place with 29 points while we have 23 points and are only saved from being bottom of the conference by a woefully bad Sporks. Don’t you ever look at facts before you post? Apparently not - your posts often seem like they come from a fact-free alternate truth zone…

    Are you serious?

There are 14 out of 28 teams or half the league who can make the postseason so who cares if they make the playoffs or not?

That doesn't make them a good club!

As far as posting, I'll post as I see fit!

From what I saw in entire second half , Miami was a crap team and should have had at least 2 easy one on one goals!

I followed Higuain his entire career at Napoli, , Juve, Milan and back at Juve and he is a shadow of his former self.

    He has completely lost it.

Anyway, to each his own but if they are a the mark of being good team then I don't know what bad is.

The team plays at its proper level. A better coach might get a little more from these players. Nothing dramatic. Perhaps a few spots up the table, like 20th overall rather than the current 26th. Just a sad team, year after year.

Likely because it was PayPal day and he was meeting with the PayPal Execs. Oddly enough, after spending 10 mil, only one PayPal executive has been to the stadium before this. Yesterday their CEO did the first kick thing, the coin flip and the PayPal suite had a jersey (same one as Fish was wearing) across every seat for the PayPal Exec team.
