I've put in a request for information. This match also had nine DIFFERENT goal scorers. Has that ever happened in @MLS before?— KCbus96 (@kcbus96) August 3, 2022
Nine different players scored, but Gyasi wasn't one of them. Poor guy. He could have possibly made the WC roster if it took place last November, but he's completely lost his chance now.
Big trade. Big trade: The New England Revolution are sending Sebastian Lletget to FC Dallas for $600k in allocation money, sources tell me and @PaulTenorio.Lletget was acquired by Revs from LA this winter for min. of $500k in GAM, rising up to $1.3 million based on performance. pic.twitter.com/SlE5MapSAI— Sam Stejskal (@samstejskal) August 3, 2022

LAFC have signed another international forward https://www.mlssoccer.com/news/reports-lafc-finalizing-deal-for-saint-etienne-forward-denis-bouanga
Just an FYI for all three MLS fans reading this, and @Ch(Elsey) 's son Marcus: There are 13 MLS matches tomorrow, starting with Seattle at Atlanta at 3pm on ABC. What a wonderful day for fans of The World's Most Entertaining Soccer League.
I mean, when's the last time an EPL or Bundesliga or Ligue 1 or Liga Bwin or La Liga match featured nine different goalscorers!? Never a dull moment on MLS fixture days!
That would’ve been huge like 5 years ago. I see Rooney is just signing up a bunch of washed over the hill EPL rejects, that should work out well for him.
I hope he actually sees something specific in these guys he's bringing in that makes him think they'll be able to gel into their team well and be able to adapt to our league. Almost kinda feels like playing fifa and being like...."these guys im signing from England are low to mid 70s rating so they're basically the same level as most of the tam level MLS players." Works out fine enough on paper. Benteke could ball out.....but it's far from a sure thing. He'll be 32 this offseason....which isn't too old for a good player but Benteke is honestly probably closer to being a Kei Kamara or Jozy Altidore than he is to a Zlatan, Gonzalo Higuain, David Villa, etc. Someone your going to pay like 4 mil a year or something then bench in favor of Ola Kamara. I don't have a good feeling about this team thriving under Rooney........so good for us!
MLS is certainly more competitive. I mean, I go into ther Bundesliga season knowing that the best my team can hope for is a possible Champions League spot (which is unlikely this season) or a Pokal win (which hasn't happened since 1995). Not that beating Bayern 5-0 last year wasn't fun.
I may need to turn in my Amerisnob card (or pry it from my cold..). We have EPL on this morning. I salute your stat about thirteen games. Awesome. And throw in the fact, as been stated recently, about actually being able to watch soccer (MLS or other leagues) on tv. This morning I was recounting to anyone who would listen in my house, how I paid my folks money every month to pay for the “extra” channel Fox Sports/Soccer.
I watched bits of the Fulham game and the Leeds match. But I ain't giving up my Amerisnob card anytime soon, I just can't force myself to care about the foreign leagues. MLS 4 Lyfe!
Atlanta with a last minute winner against Seattle. Would have liked to see points off the board there.
Huge win for Cincinnati today this Eastern Conference race is going to be one helluva a ride and we need more depth or some guys who have done nothing better start producing
