I finally got around to playing through Enslaved: Odyssey to the West a couple months ago. Came out on the 360, if I'm not mistaken, though I played it on PC. The story was really engaging thanks to the face-capture and acting of the characters (one of which was Andy Serkis). Also, and I know I'm a dork for this, but Trip was really hot and I'd walk through a wall for her.
Finally trying to get into Red Dead Redemption 2. I can see why people call it an overproduced game. Can't remember the last time you had to press so many different buttons just to loot a cabinet.
Every Amazon Prime Member can currently claim a free code for Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order. https://gaming.amazon.com/loot/starwars?ingress=twch
It used to be a €60 full price game when it was a released a few years ago. You are paying for it with your Prime subscription. It is a Single Player Star Wars Action-RPG without loot boxes or other types of in-game monetization. In my opinion it is a worthwhile and very good game albeit not a masterpiece.
Rockstar Games has confirmed that a new ‘GRAND THEFT AUTO’ game is in “well underway” in active development.(Source: https://t.co/DlmUtVQbFE) pic.twitter.com/txM7gzNfKJ— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) February 4, 2022 Lots of analogous trends in Hollywood film-making and game design, primarily among them that the biggest companies now seem stuck making the same thing over and over again and the kind of freedom you once needed for innovation now only truly exists for tiny indies (who subsequently do not have the resources to give their games the same polish as the AAA companies).
I'm halfway through RDR2 and once you acclimate yourself to the slower pace of the animations it's really an awesome game. Overproduced by a bit but arguably one of the three best open worlds ever created and an awesome story. Also the graphics are still stunning on PC.
1493949054396547085 is not a valid tweet id So the fallout from the Cyberpunk 2077 debacle culminates in the creation of a new studio. Seeing the people listed, what a ********ing talent drain from CDPR. And it's entirely self-inflicted.
In my experience 90% of the new studios created by those who left Bioware, Blizzard & Co. never amount to anything. That being said it cannot be denied that CDPR is a horribly managed game company.
Just started Doom Eternal. I love the core game-play but these ammo restrictions that force you into one very rigid play style are just annoying as hell. I absolutely hate that design choice. Why take away the option to just shoot your way through hell with whatever weapon you want? Terrible. Ruining an otherwise perfect shooter.
Finished Doom Eternal. Glad to report my initial negative reaction to the new game mechanics lessened considerably after the first three missions as more and more weapons become available. It's a very annoying start to the game in the opening missions but afterwards it becomes an absolutely brilliant shooter and the best first person shooter fun I have had in many years.
I started my first playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077 after they released the 1.5 patch that is supposed to fix thousands (!) of bugs. My first impression of this game is very mixed. The gun combat is imprecise, cars drive like they're on rails and feel worse than in 8 year old GTA V. The item and loot systems already annoy me due to their small font size. Nothing better than having to squint at the text when you want to loot an item in-between combat. Frankly this game still feels like Euro jank just with premium graphics.
I can't remember if I mentioned it but we had a march for peace in Ukraine in ESO a while back... That was the PC EU server but all platforms and servers had one where our brave Aldmeri heroes put aside their loathing for both Daggarfall scum AND the Eboneart filth briefly to demonstrate their love of peace... even for THOSE people!
So, I made a short youtube vid of an excerpt of one of our Elder Scrolls Online 'trials' which, in some MMO realms are called raids if I'm not mistaken. I edited it using Kdenlive under linux, (natch! ), and added some explanatory text and some simple video effects... As it happens I didn't record my own voice so the people you can hear are other people in the raid, mostly yanks and canucks, as you can probably tell, as this is on the north American server. The level 10 guy only started playing 3 days ago.
Which platform you run it on? i modded it a bit because there was no frigging way I was going to deal with rune loss on death.. the game is incredibly hard without that being added to the mix..
PS4 managed to kill the last boss with help from a summoned player enjoyed the game, will re do it with a diff character style next time
I got to get the last boss a few days ago. Radagon I found a fire build that melts him, but I still struggle with the he Elden beast. I really need to focus on learning his attacks.. and I have jumping from build/strategy all over the place, but it comes down to just picking one and lmastering it…
Since he has resistance to pretty much everything except physical, it seems the way to go. I keep hearing mixed things on bleed immunity. Some claim he is immune, but others swear it works regardless of what is intended…
