The deal with PSG we have read about is loan PLUS obligation to buy and 3 year deal. If you are correct that there is no obligation to buy and 3 year contract then, sure, "it isn't financial risk at all"

Agree with you that he's a good player who would, in my opinion, make us heavy favorites for a Top 4 finish, at least, if he were to arrive.

Looks like all is agreed with PSG and Winajldum will join soon. We’re one defender away from a massive mercato. This team is objectively better than last years:

    Rui
    Mancini - Smalling - Ibanez
    Karsdorp - Cristante - Gini - Spina
    Dybala - Lollo
    Tammy

Depth coming off the bench being:

    Zaniolo
    Zalewski
    Matic
    Belotti
    Celik
    El sha
    Kumbulla

We still need midfield depth if Veretout leaves. Makes you wonder wether the door is still open for Frattesi, or if Mourinho plans on giving Bove a bigger role.

I’m not entirely comfortable with these midfielders. I really wanted a more defensive minded midfielder to join, handle the press, make tackles, initiate the counter. More of a sitter to protect the defense.

I trust Mourinho knows best what he wants and it does seem that's going to be Cristante playing as the DM backed up by Matic with Bove as 3rd backup.

Seems Cristante is his first choice at this point since yesterday's friendly read like a dress rehearsal for big early season matches.

Based on yesterday, the biggest either/or in the first choice lineup to watch early in the season may be Zaniolo or Wynaldum ballottaggio (with Pellegrini playing more forward in the latter case).

I do agree with you in that many expected Mourinho to go after an established DM in his prime instead of Wynaldum and then move Cristante more to other box to box mid spot as depth.

I'm more worried about our back line. We need another CB if Mourinho wants to play a three man defense all season long.

Bailly going back to LaLiga apparently instead of joining us. Bullet dodged

Belotti is an interesting signing. It's a rich contract for us for an out and out backup. It smells like they believe Tammy will be gone after this season. If belotti looks decent in his appearances, could turn out to be a really shrewd financial bet, as it would a very manageable starting striker salary.

So far , 7m spend for 4 confirmed signings , another 2 rumored for free as well. Fantastic business although you can't help but thinking it would be impossible to do it without Mourinho. The second time Mourinho has to work with poorman budget after Porto. But we knew the miracle works he perform at porto back then. One of the greatest achievement by any manager in history of football.

It's hard to imagine how you have the availability to post here when all your time is spent fellating the guy.

His post was twice as short, but then he felt the need to continue harping the same melody by editing it. Ah the folly of youth...

The money going around about the Gini deal is instance - 30m obligation if we secure CL and then a 9million a year salary to take on unless he takes a huge paycut. It's a lot for a player who retired to PSG and soon to be 32. Especially when we have Fratessi as a viable cheaper option.

Belotti is a great signing, I always figured Tammy would give us 2, max 3 seasons before returning to the PL. There's a lot of games coming up this season if we want to progress from last season we have to take the EL and CI serious as well as trying to secure top 4.

There is no chance there is a 30 million obligation (at least I hope to god not lol).

Most things I’ve read say 10 million option / obligation. Not sure about the salary but if we buy him outright we should benefit from the growth decree right?

When I read that 30m on Football Italia, I thought they're either drunk or they're taking the piss.

There is no chance lol. Maybe 13. And if that is the option, he's only going to stay one year, or Pinto will negotiate it down.

Yeah I got the 30m number from Football Italia, I have no idea where they got that number but I haven't seen any other outlet stick a number on it. 10-15m is definitely more reasonable but his contact is still going to be a problem.

So..... A change of owners and we are getting good deals with decent prices. Incredible, considering how Pallotta and Co were getting us shit players for ridiculous prices. 99.9% of you all said, this was normal and they were doing "amazing" with the resources we have. I never had much respect for 99.9% of you clowns, but now I think you are just drop dead stupid.

Wijnaldum apparently coming on loan, 10m option with Roma paying 5m wages (he earned 10m at PSG)

    not bad at all!

Once Veretout and Eldor leave I think Belotti will go through, can't see us taking any more cards after him

has anyone noticed how all our signings so far are champions? all internationals, all with experience in european competition, they all bring invaluable experience

    Our current starting line up:
    Patricio
    Mancini-Smalling-Ibañez
    Karsdorp-Wijnaldum-Pellegrini-Spinazzola
    Dybala
    Zaniolo-Abraham.
Will love to have Frattesi in that line up and Capitano behind Dybala and Abraham.
