That's a nice goal! I saw a similar move some years ago, but instead of a shot, the ball was played as a pass by a wide player. The ball was going out of bounds and the overhead pass was placed perfectly goal side of a central attacker who took 2 dribbles and scored. Both that and Jordan's were great examples of improvisation.

 

Union is a good fit for him. In hindsight it’s clear to see why he couldn’t make an impact at Rennes. They played a wide open flowing style at the time. Pefok was in the open field a lot, far from goal, and it’s just not what he is good at.
Even though Chemnitz are a poor side what you saw is still how Union plays in B1. Get the ball into the box, bang around, create havoc, get on loose balls, etc.
If Pefok can’t make it there he ain’t making it in a Big 5.

One of those situations where he has a real chance of success.

Again, Union are known as a scrappy, work for it team. The fanbase will not tolerate guys who don‘t work hard.
He will hear it if he doesn‘t even if he scores.

Pefok has fit right in here. Has a goal and should have an assist. This may work out better than some people thought. But let me not get ahead of myself.

Pefok has to be the early front runner to snag a WC slot. Talk about a guy choosing a perfect team to compliment his talents.... He and Becker are a dynamic duo.

On the other hand you have young Pepi... who could have not chosen a worse team in the BL.
