The really cogent question is: do we get reinforcements (this week being the trade deadline) or does CL (by word or inaction) tell us he’s bailing on making any changes this season and simply having an A’s/Cubs-style fire sale…

 

You think 5000 people are even going to show up to watch this match ?

 

If the new signings are coming from another league it will probably take several weeks before their fitness is adequate to get any real minutes.

They'll give us those tote bags but then they won't allow us to bring them into a future game.

 

San Jose hosted the Fort Lauderdale Strikers in the 3rd Round of the 2012 US Open Cup at Stanford.

 

I vaguely remember being at that game. Did Sam Garza score in it?

EDIT: Per Wikipedia, yes, he had both Quakes goals in a 2-1 win. (Yay, I'm only in early stage dementia. )

That was played in the Stanford soccer field, not the stadium, IIRC.

 

That also means potentially the Miami GK will not start time wasting right after the kickoff whistle in Wed game.

 

I miss chanting AARP at Rimando from the long bar during pregame warmups.

 

Nick was a cool guy, but also cracked and warped. He WAS a GK after all, and the next 'normal' one I meet will be the first...

BTW, I asked him at the autograph session whether he had received a red at the end of the RSL game. He said he didn't know. Couldn't tell if he didn't understand or legitimately didn't know. Or maybe he meant it didn't matter.

 

Yeah - it won’t matter in the Eredivisie…
