Lol Barca. They are mortgaging off their future to dig themselves out in the present. But what happens in 2-3 years when you’ve spent the money you gained and sold off all your future revenue streams. Then shit really gets dire.

No... Again that's not what's being said be anyone here. Typically you guys are pretty decent thinkers with good bants, which is why I ninja read your forum. But, you're being really emotional here.
I'm curious if maybe you are just out of touch... The dating market is significantly more savage than its ever been and prosperity is further away for the men in that market than it's been in decades. Being "generous" is basically impossible for upwards of 60% of single men under 30.

For the ones who can be you better believe they are getting willing sexual partners in exchange. I don't know why it's weird for older people, or people who have cashed out, to accept that in a liberalised market the out come is winner takes all? Maybe it's just because it sex? Or relationships? It's not even men's behaviour driving this change it's the women themselves.

Thanks to the massive spread and acceptance of online dating we have massive data sets that can finally prove emperically a lot of the trends that started in the 90s.

But to catch you up simping is givening resources you don't have to a woman who won't have you. Ironically leading to vicious downward cycle until said man is rightfully unchoosable as a mate as he has no resources and no experience dealing with a woman in a relationship.

It's super creepy that some men want to keep making this a rape issue. When really it's a how are young people forming relationships, getting married, getting wealthier, having families and getting old with support issue.

How much revenue is that lost a year?

I don’t have the numbers but I’m sure a Google would find them pretty fast. Essentially what they are doing those is selling off revenue streams for a set number of years for lump sump payments now. For example, earlier this summer they sold something like 25% of their tv rights for the next 25 years to a US investment firm. They got a lump sum payment of like 400 mil for it, which helps them now, but 25% of their TV income over 25 years is worth way more than 400 mil. And once they’ve spent that 400 mil, that’s one less way to get income for the next 25 years. In the long run, they’re digging themselves a deeper hole.

Lol, this is not the definition of simping. Giving resources is not a requirement - it is essentially grovelling or giving undue attention and support to a woman who does not reciprocate, in the hope of getting a relationship / sex out of it.

And the whole point Johno was making is that simping is used incorrectly by men as a derisory term for other men who express even vaguely feminist views.

Completely agree with the analogy with ‘woke’, or with the word ‘gay’ being used everywhere right up till the 90’s and 00’s for any man showing some sort of sensitivity / interest in culture. It’s amazing how easy it is to cow men out of growing tf up just by throwing a slander name at them.

I am actually very open minded and am willing to learn. Dating is hell for men and women. I read all the time and try and learn.

Im living the current scenarios we are talking about. You seem to be talking about how it should be.

Oh and Johno deserves all the slander in the world.

It's basically a form of loan financing common in corporate lending.

They borrow money, secured against future revenue streams - in this case the TV revs.

In some respects it is actually sensible, as they are refinancing their short term liabilities into longer term structured debt, while at the same time, turning over their team and ensuring they safeguard CL revenue. They will hope that more football inflation inflates away the debt.

IMO their biggest risk was actually not being able to sign anyone due to the Spanish salary cap rules, getting stuck with lots of bad contracts and becoming uncompetitive - losing CL revenue for them would be an epic clusterfvck

It does feel like they are all in on superleague in some form of another.

Reading about the apocalyptic nature of dating in the 2020s, I am not sure what people think dating was like in the 80s :p

Their demise is not in 5 years but more likely in 10 unless they find new revenue streams.

I just feel like Partey comes over like a sad loser in those texts*. Who gets their girlfriend to ask her friends on holiday, then demand they fvck his mates ... who they have never met, and could be utter losers/pricks? Like he expects his girlfriend to say that to her friends?

    * assuming any of this is actually true

That's life dude. I have been on plenty of first, second, third dates that never lead to anything. If things were not escalating or meeting my expectations/timeline, I simply moved on. I'm sure I was disappointed and frustrated, but I did not throw a temper tantrum. Just cut my losses and moved on. Women don't owe us shit.

Love that move. Young, exciting player for relatively cheap. He was fun to watch at the Euros, but it looks like his last season was limited due "thigh problems". Missed 27 games... Hopefully they manage him well and he can adapt.

didn't realise this but Leicester haven't signed a single player this summer.

even though they seem poised to lose 3 or 4. odd
