You can find any narrative you want on there because there'll always be at least 100 people with the worst takes but in reality they're a tiny tiny minority.
I'd add that despite the England men having one of our worst defeats for a long time it has been a very successful year for English football with the u19s men and the senior women winning their European Championships.
Interesting to see that if you Google .. ‘ England team ‘ looking for fixtures of the men’s team that all the results focus SOLELY on the women . Now that’s to be expected but how long before the tide turns back to the men’s game .. Or are waters now muddied .. forever ?
Yeah that’s fair enough but just find it quite strange how we are generally treated compared to everyone else. When we lose, we’re not afforded any excuses on our part and have to get on with it but my god when we win everyone else is allowed to have a long list of excuses at the ready. I mean regarding last night, I’ve seen some bizarre claims from we paid the ref who also made a Nazi salute so she’s clearly cheating and then the handball to we’re cheating by keeping the ball in the corner for five minutes during extra time. That last claim I found especially amusing considering that’s being going on for years but all of a sudden we’re cheating.
