Appearances are deceptive;). Only time will tell. For the sake of Ajax I hope I'll be right.

Fitz-Jim is not a DM, but a deep lying play maker like Pirlo. The best Dutch counterpart is Clasie, though I think Fitz-Jim has more energy than Clasie. I watched the AZ game against Tulza City yesterday and they don't play with a traditional DM. Clasie is such a great passer and it's a shame that his stamina prevented him from going further.

Sanchez is just average and has flaws in his game. This Italian guy is from Serie B and is unproven at the top level. You need to really wonder that if he is a decent player why one of the first division Italian teams didn't pick him up. It's only for a loan and I can see him going back to Italy soon enough. If they wanted a striker with experience, they could have moved for Bas Dost or even Vincent Jannssen.

Both Bologna and Sassuolo wanted Lucca, but apparently Ajax outbid them

    I don’t understand these moves.
Clearly need a better right back and a better attacking option.
Adding a 6’7 guy tells me we’re looking to play hit and hope long ball now?
Right back is a problem area but then again so is Centerback.

Check this: http://livetv.sx/enx/allupcomingsports/1/ out too. About half an hour before the game starts it lists all channels that will transmit the game. If you install Ace Steam ( it's free) you can watch the game on your PC. Check out the Android app on Google Play, it might work on your Android TV.

The problem with Ace Stream is that it can quickly fill up a hard drive with buffered files. You need to clear things out periodically. I gave it up when I moved to IPTV.

I expected a ton of movement this window but man... This is nuts. I guess somewhat expected with a new manager.

One thing is it seems like the YA is not producing enough guys for the First Team. We're having to supplement too much with guys like this Serie B dude.

How many strikers have Ajax developed over the last 15 years? How many top class center backs? It is always going to be a numbers game and if you get 2-3 players from Jong Ajax, the system is doing well. Ajax do well developing MFs, wing players and full backs.

Serious questions around Ajax back 4.
    Not instilling confidence in me.
That Til goal was very poorly defended (I think it was Timber??)
Not gonna go very far in the CL with that defence

And now Blind gets muscled away for the 1-2
Not enough leaping ability for a CB

Blind and Timber are getting killed in the air... and man, Alvarez is a lucky boy escaping with only a yellow. His elbowing was nasty and uncalled for.

Well the two major weaknesses going into the year have quickly shown why they are major concerns. RB and GK are just not good enough and need to be addressed quickly. Rensch is awful and Gakpo is just toying with him. Gorter not confident in his reads and was caught out on the second one.

HIgler has been absolutely horrible as a CR. He lost control of the game when he didn't give Hoever a YC for the elbow on Berwijn. Both PSV goals were because of poor defending by Timber and then Blind. Blind also lost control of the ball in MF and PSV let Ajax off the hook. Taylor is having a monster game. Bergwijn is looking sharp also. Rensch is playing better at RB and Wijndal has been very active pushing up.

Hoever's elbow to Bergwijn was worse.

I need to see that one again... I don't think my feed was showing good replay on that one. But the Alvarez' elbow was clear to me. It was with full force to the side of the face. I hate seeing this type of play. I think referees, in general, need to cut down on this nonsense.

The feed I was watching showed a hand ball by Max on the 2nd PSV goal. Surprised that there was no VAR review.
