This is interesting. Also it tells me that apparently (real) journos are still not comfortable saying "Partey". Not until the police use his name first?

I guess it's a damn good thing this didn't come out until after the All-or-Nothing stopped filming. But if it had, I guess they would've excised all mentions.

partey's name didn't just become he-who-shall-not-be-named and all his photo defaced like an old pharaoh. he still exists and he's still a person on the squad. the accusation is just something no journos want to touch because discussing it leaves them open to lawsuit. end of.

For clarity, nobody here has declined to use his name in reference to this issue, and it will continue to not run afoul of the law for any journo or this Amazon doc to use his name in general.

 

Of course “Partey” can be spoken in general! I’ve been pointing to journos who won’t use his name specifically in conjunction with the allegations. And how a week or two ago quite a few people on this board seemed to be doing likewise, even though most of us don’t even live in the UK.

I wish the Met would just finish their initial investigation soon, so that if he’s gonna be charged, then do that already. And then the club can maybe start executing whatever plan/action is warranted.

 

I wonder if we take Tielemans late, 1. to drive the price down and 2. because we might get suspicions that we might lose TP5 mid season.

I’m not on rwitter and don’t plan signing up, but I have questions about the “NDA.”:

Who revealed its existence?

Given the timeline of the most recent allegation, it doesn’t appear there would be time to draw up a new NDA. Does Partey have all the women he has sex with (either legally or illegally) pre sign NDAs?

if one of the charges has been dropped, is this the woman whose allegation was dropped? If so her going off ion Twitter didn’t violate an NDA. Once she reported the alleged sexual assault to police there was no longer an NDA.

 

Speaking as someone who’s drafted a few NDAs (albeit in the US and in much less disturbing contexts), an NDA is just a contract that requires you to not talk about something. Everything else depends on the terms of the contract.

 

Much less disturbing? What about the NDA you made me sign stating that I would never reveal that @thebigman is three English bulldogs stacked on top of a tub of marmite in a Burberry tracksuit?

Post Trump I think we all understand the concept of NDAs. You questioned the reported fee involved, I’m questioning whether an NDA actually existed. If the woman on Twitter is the source of the recent allegations, It doesn’t appear that the timeline allows for even a simple contract. She reportedly fled the hotel, returned to England and reported the alleged assault to police. He might have made a verbal offer, but i doubt that would be a binding NDA. If this is a woman victimized by a prior sexual assault and Partey, like Trump with Stormy Daniels, offered her compensation to sign an NDA after the fact, the contract would have been voided the minute she reported the assault to the police. Not when she started talking about it on Twitter. Finally, if it’s an old allegation is she speaking out now because hers was the allegation dropped by the police?
