They did win the Copa america against Brazil, in Brazil and have not lost an actual game since 2019 Copa and are in a comfortable 2nd place in the WCQ.

If we had a string of results like that, we would be popping bottles and naming our kids Yerry, David or Wilmar

    LOL

Just trying to add some extra humor to CRZD’s post

Gremio lost again in his return... And remain deeply in relegation zone hell.

Borja was subbed out pretty early in Gremio's loss of the Porto Alegre derby to Inter.

Little worried, hopefully he finds his best game for the matches this week.

A couple questions. What happened with Borja at Palmeiras? Did they feel he wasn't good enough to play with them or just too much competition to get playing time?

Do they hand out ribbons/rings/trophies to all players who played that year on the championship team or only the players registered for the tournament? Borja must have played on Palmeiras a little bit last year. I can't remember now. What I am asking is, does Borja get the credit for being part of the team last year?

According to wiki he didn’t get credit for winning anything with Palmeiras last year.

Watching the NT makes me hate long deep passes, but JFQ gets a hall pass in my book

What a pass, first touch and finish!

Anyone with Paramount + can watch the River game currently underway.

Game just started. JFQ had a beauty of a pass to Borja but nothing came of it.

Not the greatest game mind you, but he did score two goals.
I'd call him up for November.

Out of the many things I like about Borja one thing is that no matter the situation or how big the moment is he is pretty much cold blooded when it comes to knocking in penalties. I have rarely seen him miss for Club or Country over the years.

I am not too confident in other players on the squad for spot kicks. In fact I do not even know who would step up and take one for us currently. Everyone would say maybe Diaz or Sini if he gets healthy but I have not seen them take many pks so I am not as confident in them. Santos Borre has done okay percentage wise but I am not that confident in him either.
