Camavinga had some good moments too, but ya Dani actually looked like he cared out there and that is important. Back when ADM was in the squad there were times when his emotion was infectious for the rest of the squad, Dani is looking like he could bring some of that too.
Then again you said the same shit last season and then pretended like you cared when the team won. Loser syndrome, predict the worst.
I said from the start i did not think David will be shifted to the left, no matter who comes, we bought him to replace the leadership that Sergio brought at CB, and he has done a good job there, early days yet but i still believe that's where he will play, CB And yet we won the biggest trophies in those 4 seasons, so, go figure,
I missed it live but after watching this first preseason game i am not even remotely worried at this point, far too early for that, we had players on the pitch that hadn't played together a lot before and that need time to gel, that young trio as i felt from the start will take time to connect together to be able to control the middle of the park, can't just be about energy In the end it was a decent game for us to play as our first game against a desperate Farca side eager to show they are as good as us after not having won jack as a team for years on a petty note these comms couldn't even tell the difference between Odri and Luka, they were so enthralled by Farca, meh
Real Madrid is successful it keep looking to improve and never content with the success that why we ate so successfully and motto is to win 15 We are no arsenal or juventus that we are happy to remain in competition and area every real fan where expecting to strengthen is striker if you disagree then God save you also we won champion league because benzeme was fit for all key match and we would keep wining if he is fit but significant uncertain existed and exists that we may be injured due to his age factors
We won the CL because Tbo played well, Vin had a breakout season, Rodrygo came up with goals at crucial times, Cama got on the pitch and made a difference at times, Fede did well at RW, Lucas filled in well at RB when needed and the "team" as a whole persevered from the first game to the last, and yes, also Benz stayed healthy, football is a team game, maybe i see football different to you, and finally, we did improve, unless you think Rudiger and Tcho aren't worthy of consideration,we tried for an attacker it did not pan out, maybe, again, just because it's not in the area that you consider important you've decided that we haven't kept "looking to improve".
🎙| Ancelotti: “Alaba will only play left back when necessary.” @MarioCortegana— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) July 24, 2022
Or because we were stuck with two strikers bought in 2018 and 2019 who didn't want to leave? Keep adding to that list every summer?
Whiny boys like you would surely love whole of the forum to bitch and moan daily wouldn't you? Those who don't are "Perez fans". [emoji23]
Maybe Militao and Rudiger will fight for a spot. But he also said this which makes no sense. 🎙| Ancelotti: “The idea was for Alaba and Rüdiger to change positions during the match and they will do so.” @MarioCortegana— Madrid Xtra (@MadridXtra) July 24, 2022
It'll be interesting, that's for sure. But the difference this season is that, with a player like Rudiger in the squad, Militao's brainfarts will not go unpunished. That gives me some comfort! Re: Carlo's comment – we have seen Alaba 'switch' to LB in certain moments during matches last season, with Mendy staying back. But that's not a strategy to rely on, but something that happens naturally during games (like Ramos going on his surging runs during his good days). So I'm quite puzzled as to what Carlo means. Starting Rudiger as LB – regardless of whether they switch positions a lot or not – has an impact on your possession play and particularly on your forward game. Maybe it's just a wrong translation of what Carlo said?
Really bizarre. Alaba is an elite LB who transitioned into a very good CB. Rudiger has never played LB. Then again with how Militao has played lately then maybe we see an Alaba and Rudiger partnership.
Hold you seats Carlo is about to revolutionise the LB role......instead of, you know, ermm playing them where they should play I can already see how confused those EPL teams will be in CL
I thought we bought Rudiger to remedy our aerial weakness? But if we still start Alaba at CB, wouldnt that be the same as Militao-Alaba? Also if we bought Rudiger to replace Ramos' leadership, isnt that what Alaba has been doing? Im confused. Also I expect a slow start to the season from the team since the run last year surely took a lot out of the boys.
I think what Carlo means is that Rüdiger will have those darting runs forward and Alaba will protect his line while he does so. Remember, Ramos used to do the same and Casemiro was slotting in to protect the backline. People take those interviews WAY too literal.
Hay no-one want the team to loss infact feel that we won against our arch rival with more margin and we have struggled to score goal when benzema is not available . Mariano was never a choice of striker and it lopetegui fault and jovic was one season wonder in some dummy league Still it is mystery why we have not signed a back-up striker yet or still why are to play false 9 when it did not work more than once
With no Benzema on the field, we always struggling to score. We had some 0-0 games last season, few of them at the Bernabeu. We cannot rely always on magic nights of the Bernabeu. I don’t understand why the management don’t see the need for reinforcement in the attack. Especially after Mbappe failure
This is the issue with playing vs Barcelona or other big teams for a pre-season friendly (and especially this early in the preseason). The media try to hype it, people read too much into it and it creates a useless environment of result pressure when this should only be the time to try players, formations, and to get back into match fitness. I get the need to generate cash and attract new fans/markets, but I personally don’t like it. The season will be long and Carlo has shown that he is very flexible in the way he approaches his work. Just like last season when he said the idea is to play high pressing football or for Asensio to play in the midfield instead of the wing, his ideas will change when they are challenged and do not work. I have full faith in this team going into this season. They will bring us lots of joy again. Next summer will be as important as this one was, Asensio/Mariano/Ceballos (if they don’t leave this summer or do not renew) / maybe Modric and Kroos will no longer be with the team.
Peak overreaction was after the huge loss in pre season to Atlético. They were hyped up as huge title favourites and Felix was playing like BDR winner during that pre-season tour.
Since you repeated the same post a few times in this thread itself, what would be your back striker short list?
