Cedrics crossing is still so bad that even guys I am playing over 35s with who train once a fortnight are hitting them better.

God help us having to use this combination of a back 4 in any competition this year. Wouldn't trust them to keep a clean sheet against the local u12s.

The black kit with the gold lettering looks really nice. Better than a yellow and blue kit? Naw. But really really nice.

pretty meh first half. Orlando are up for it, and our (mostly) second-stringers clearly aren't interested in picking up the pace.

I'm sorta wondering if Arteta instructed the team to let them have majority possession to work on our counter-attacking. That's the best excuse I can come up with. There is just no build-up or creativity whatsoever. Very predictable in attack.

The broadcast crew is so-so, imo. They knew our team pretty well, but clearly seem to have a bias for Orlando, imo.

Doesn’t hurt that we brought in Jesus, Odegaard, white, Gabriel!

And we’re playing in 2T as if we were embarrassed by what we did in 1T.

Ps. Turner’s also in to give him a little more bedding in time.

Except when talking about Nelson as a Brazilian just before his free kick.

White looked pretty good at right back tonight. Maybe we won’t see Cedric when Tomiyasu is out.

Oops. I looked him up and his name is Evan Weston. And of course he’s the normal Orlando PBP guy. Unless he’s somehow a gooner himself, he probably did a ton of homework on Arsenal before this match. And overall I thought he was pretty good, notwithstanding a few glaring errors like the one you cited

I think so. I hope so.

    White-Saliba-Gabriel-???

Assuming KT is not gonna be a fit for a while. and that Tavares is just too risky.

Then what? Zinchenko? Xhaka?? Bellerin?? He finished the game there tonight and if they can’t sort another deal with Betis then who knows…

Not sure if that’s a serious suggestion. But he’s injured again. And frankly I’m starting to wonder if he’s following in Tierney‘s footsteps in terms of dependable minutes played. IF Toni can get and stay fit, and is comfortable at LB, i’d be willing to give him a go there.

It’s great to see Zinchenko in our XI so quickly!

If I was a betting man I’d say that’ll be Mikel’s choice backline for the foreseeable future. Unless of course Tomiyasu and Tierney make miraculously quick returns to health and form.

Sadly I can’t watch this one live tonight. I’ll catch up later.
