I believe the resale portal will be in another link altogether. We'll see in a few months =) https://resale-intl.fwc22.tickets.fifa.com/
I wonder if the physical Hayya Card is Qatar's way of acknowledging that they won't be "officially" have enough accommodation for all so as long as u have tickets u will be good to enter. Wishful thinking?
I was also under the impression that this was the case based on previous responses others had received. However, I emailed them 10 days ago and finally got this email back from them this morning. "Please be aware, QAA can request a full refund on your behalf provided that you are rebooking inventory on our website and keeping the same stay dates on your new reservation. If you decide to change the dates of your stay, please be aware that fees may apply as per the agreed Terms & Conditions of Sale. Please be aware that if your new reservation is lower in value than your previously booked reservation, you will not be entitled to a refund" I wonder if they changed their policy in recent weeks? I've never seen them say that you will not receive a refund if you book a lower-priced accommodation to anyone else before.
oh wow :/ yea they must have changed it recently, i got my refund no problem even though my new booking was a lot more cheaper
I don’t see how a physical versus digital Hayya card would make a difference here. It’s been Qatar’s plan all along to allow “day trip” visitors who have match tickets but no accommodation.
..l suppose you are right, however l still think eventually all hayya cards will be approved regardless of accommodation confirmation. Qatar doesn't have enough accommodation for all the fans (at least through the official channels) l stand corrected
That's what the matchday shuttles are for - people who have matchday tickets staying in neighboring countries. But Hayya is also the visa for Qatar during the WC so it won't be an automatic approval for all, Qatar can restrict someone from coming into the country for any reason, but to control the number of people coming into the country they made it so that you need a matchday ticket and accommodations as they aren't gonna let people just sleep in the streets or in public places, as that would be a very bad look for the country.
Would be strange to have the resold tickets being offered on a different website though. Normally they appear exactly the same as normal tickets do.
Isn't the Hayya card approval subject to proof of accommodation? At least for those staying in Qatar not the day trippers?
I am in need of one ticket to the final. If any of you comes across one let me know! Tired of checking many times a day for many weeks, hoping for the miracle. So now I am looking for even the rarest miracle (that someone has a ticket and wants to sell it)
Yes but physical card or digital does not change anything. Read what you wrote. You can also get approval for Hayya csrd by proving you have tickets and staying in Dubai and flying match game flights, so again what you are saying makes no sense
Asking all the veteran Members of this forum can you confirm if this the first time Finals game tickets didn’t go on sale (Individual Match Tickets) On both FCFS,How was it like in the 2014,2018 world cups.I heard during 2018 many tickets to final game went on sale on Last Minute sales,Were they also on sale on the FCFS Phases unlike 2022 What do you think are the chances of snagging a Final Game ticket on The Last Phase Sale Any Information will be Appreciated TIA
Does anyone know someone who bought tickets through an account on the international portal and another on the domestic portal? I’m curious if: 1. You just need a valid Qatar address to create an account? 2. You bought tickets on there that most likely will end up being digital tickets? 3. You need to apply for two separate Hayya cards to use these tickets? I appreciate the insight!
I bought in the local portal. Just enter a random address. The auto fill helped with that. Since tickets will be digital; the adress is only being used to track household max totals. Why would I need 2 separate Hayya cards? Names on tickets aren’t checked
Understood, thanks @marianelah! I have friends in Qatar who (to someone’s point earlier of local demand being over estimated) are on the fence about going for the games I want to so I’m considering making myself the main applicant and getting tickets on the domestic portal.
From ones that have attended previous World Cup's... Just how bad is this accommodation situation compared to others? I've obviously heard from the beginning that Qatar would struggle in this department, and here I am on week three of waiting for something semi-affordable to open up lol I guess this is exactly what I thought World Cup trip planning would be. Do most of you already have accommodations set up? Not sure at what point I should start to worry
I got my accommodation already set up, pulled the trigger as soon as I got my first successful ticket application. When I checked in early April, there was MUCH less available than when I actually booked in June and I've read (and seen) QAA release inventory slowly. I don't think I would panic yet but wouldn't wait much after the start of the Last Minute Sales Round start - hopefully early September? Compared to 2018, I've paid ~5.5x more but I'm also just 1 data point
Are we sure that domestic tickets will be digital? I thought there was some speculation that they would be mailed.
This week i haven't seen anything new available. A few weeks ago i saw two hotels that came out to be like 250 per person for two single beds and now I regret not pulling the trigger. They were both 5 star hotels and were centralized. They only lasted like an hour.
