That is my hope too. It is only fair for a player of Dybala’s caliber to not want to play EL for 2 years straight, he is already making a sacrifice playing EL on a lower salary this year. Dybala has been sold on an ambitious project by Mourinho and the owners, if the buyout clause is a hedge in case we don’t live up to the promises I have no problem with it. Of course a player like Dybala doesn’t want to wait until he is 31 to play CL again, especially with his injury history. if we just make CL then hopefully Dybala is happy to stay.
In any case 15/20 milion would be way too low. If a buyout clause is inevitable.. it should be at least 30/35
Not too bothered by a buyout clause. I’d rather have Dybala for one season than zero. He really only seemed interested in options in Italy so that really limits him to a couple teams. Wouldn’t shock me if he went back to Juve after Allegri leaves.
lol ruin the deal. What if he comes in here, secures top 4 and then heads off into the sunset? Roma make a profit + champions league income. I hope he can stay but if it was to play out like that I would be very grateful a world class player secured a CL place.
We aren’t even sure there is a buyout clause and yet we are discussing it passionately. Lol. None of the most reliabe sources have said a single word about it. Let’s wait and see. I wouldn’t be surprised if it turns out to be BS.

For a few hours, Paulo Dybala has been a new Roma player. The Argentine left Juventus on a free transfer and will receive 4.2 million net plus bonuses in the Giallorossi, while the commissions amount to 4 million, or 10% of the salary, in line with the new corporate philosophy with the spread payment in the years. Dybala has signed a three-year contract, with no option for the fourth and if he were to move before the third year, the Giallorossi club will not pay the part of the accrued commission. In the contract signed by Dybala with Roma there is also a release clause of about 20 million, the same that his entourage has placed as essential in every negotiation, therefore also with Inter and Napoli. There are no different prices of the clause for some clubs, but it is unique for all. Furthermore, having accepted a lower contract with Roma, it becomes a sort of "partnership" with the club. In this case, a percentage of the clause will be in the player's favor if exercised by another club. The important detail, however, is that Roma has reserved the right to resolve it in their favor in some cases and therefore to block a transfer to another club through certain parameters. So if another club wants to exercise the clause, the Giallorossi will have the possibility of blocking it with articulated interventions, such as increasing the player's salary or extending the duration of the contract.

Seems like a new CB is next given the amount of names popping up in the last couple days. Apparently met with Senesi’s team. Feyenoord want 16 million while Roma only want to spend 10 million. Contract expires in a year so should give Roma some leverage. Torino are said to be interested in Kumbulla.
