Saladmakers? Hehe cute...poor guys last name is tricky. Zaniolos knees are worse than a 50 year old prostitutes.
In a matter of posts, Zaniolo went from being an important franchise player that Roma should lock up for years to a bidone with no knees lol
Monza isn't messing around. Good for them. I, too, and pretty disgusted at the summer transfers so far. Lot's of over-the-hill rejects being signed by teams instead of investing in youth. Sure, there are some bright spots here and there, but the clubs need to take more risks with younger players instead of these "safe" but mediocre choices. As for Scamacca, I don't get the PSG links. He's not ready for that. He's got a tremendous right foot, but he's got to work on his left more before he can become elite. Physically he is imposing and very gifted. Mentally, I'm not sure about his strength there and ability to deal with adversity but we shall see. He had a terrible childhood. That can make you tougher or eventually break you.
PSG have done a 180 since Leonardo left. Trying to create the French galactico’s didn’t bring the CL’s that they thought it would. Luis Campos is trying to build a more balanced side. Not every player has to be Neymar. Strikers of Scamacca’s quality are in short supply and PSG don’t have a player like him on their roster. To me this would be a huge step up for him. Even if it doesn’t work out, he will gain experience playing with Messi/ Mbappe. However PSG have told Sassuolo they will not over pay for Scamacca. So in the end he might end up at West Ham. Every player at Sassuolo is overvalued by 10 million. Everyone thought they were going to make bank this mercato by selling Berardi, Traore, Raspadori, Scamacca and Frattesi. Not one player has moved yet. How is every second player on Sassuolo valued between 30-40 million and yet they finished 11th?
Andrea Belotti who was once valued at 100 million by Cairo is without a contract. Not one team has put money on the table for him
Lol that is a great quote although younger players who show potential are always valued higher becasue the potential resale of a Scmacca or Raspadori when they hit their prime is high. So someone like Scamacca could potentially fetch more than 28 year old Berardi even though Berardi is way more productive at Serie A level for a longer period of time. Berardi REALLY needed to move to a bugger club this year. He would have been a perfect addition for Milan imo
Berardi never played a CL game in his life and then people wonder why he choked and couldn't score an open net vs. Macedonia. You stay in a provincial club you remain provincial. Yes it goes without saying that young players fetch higher price tags, but in this market you will doom a young player if you price him out. Sassuolo are a seller club, but they're trying to be too greedy. Take a player like Frattesi who will waste another year of his career at Sassuolo if he doesn't move to Roma. Right now Scamacca's deal to West Ham is also falling apart as they prefer Broja. Sassuolo is a dead end.
Complete disaster for the mens and womens teams........what a disgrace Italian national teams have become
American high school soccer teams would beat them. The gameplay is really slow. They should make the pitch smaller and the match shorter. Make them play in bra and panties too. Would be original
It's insane to me...you've got guys like Andrea Cistana who was talked about 2 years ago when Bresica and Tonali were in Serie A as a rising defender but once the club moves down to B not a single Italian team in A buys him and develps him further. Federico Barba and Frandesco Vicari are seasoned and have Played in A before or someone like Matteo Bianchetti represented Italy at all levels, was captain of Italy under 21 but is stuck for life in Serie B. If you want younger guys, Volgiacco or Fillipo Sgarbi were young and played a ton of games last year. Or even Caleb Okoli who is young and starts for the under 21. At least Lovato is playing in A next year. And these are just CB's, there's plenty of young or prime players with quality that get lost in B and are seemingly ignored including ones who actually produce at the club when they are in Serie A like Mattia Aramu from Venezia last year
How about Giovanni Di Lorenzo.. spent more of his youth bouncing around Serie C and B and playing a few games for the U21s. Played his first Serie A game at around 25 years old. And now at 28 is one of the best RB's in Italy.. the new captain of Napoli... the first choice RB for the national team and a Euro Champ. i'll play the "what if" game. What if Empoli never got promoted. He'd probably still be spinning his wheels in the lower divs
Giorgio Altare was Cagliari’s best defender last year. Surprised no team came for him this summer. But still only 23. Another guy Mancini ignored
