Still can’t believe we’ve managed to pull this off. Lukaku rejoining Inter has done us a huge favour.

No doubt Dan is a straight forward serious businessman. His eyes being firmly on the ball in Rome have made a huge difference to behind the scenes organisation. He has put the money up for these deals but players also need convinced by characters. A crucial period in Dybala's career from his pov and there would be zero chance he came here with someone like Fonseca still in charge. Mourinho has the credentials to back up the things he can tell players that can be achieved. Its a huge plus for Roma. What a difference 12 months has made.

Talk about a heavy ********ing shirt. Maybe the heaviest in all of Serie A.

and perhaps all time in Serie A lol

I think he will feed off the love from the fans. This is a huge coup. He is that type of player who needs to feel it. With licence to have bit more freedom in the final 3rd and just let him play (Jose will surely bend a little in his older age), you can have the big player he is. No Ronaldos demanding to play to him at all costs, stifling his creativity.

Very excited about Dybala, as I've said before the ambitions of a team can be extrapolated from the type of coach and goalkeeper they have, as it all begins there.

Friedkin has made a huge move by bringing in Mourinho, as a quality coach can build up the rest not only with his talent to manage players, but also with his ability to push the club toward more ambitious signings.

The only thing that worries me is the newly developing crisis in the car dealership market, especially the US one, that would put Friedkin's main business in a bad position, which might limit his involvment with side projects like AS Roma, financially and attention-wise.

The only thing is how do Tammy, Zaniolo, Dybala and Pellegrini all fit together. If we play 3421 one of them is going to have to either come off the bench or Pellegrini will have to play as one of the CM’s.

Plus Dzeko and others not leaving, Juve getting Vlahovic back in the winter because Dybala demanded a salary too high, him overestimating the interest of big clubs abroad and a bunch of other things that went in our favour. If the rumoured salary (4,5m + 1,5m bonus) is true then Dybala should fire his agent. Could've still gotten more if he extended his contract at Juve. Very happy for us tho and excited what Mourinho's starting XI will be. If Dybala doesn't get injured a duo of him and Tammy is almost bound to get us a top 4 finish.

4312 with Pellegrini at CM is what I would try but highly doubt we'll see that formation.

Imagine if they can get Pellegrini to play the regista role. Those quick, accurate link up balls through the line to Zaniolo and Dybala's feet. The base is built in tactics but it still needs this feature in the build up/attacking play to exploit the talent in the final 3rd. This one part is imo still crucial and as I have said for the past year can take the hard watch inconsistent results to 3 points.

Rumours about a release clause set between 15m and 20m. Sucks but that was probably the only way making him accept such a salary.

Yeah, if we can keep Zaniolo, it will be interesting to see how they all four can fit and thrive together.

On the other hand, Dybala, Pellegrini and Zaniolo each played around 28 Serie A matches last year.

It certainly means Roma can consistently field a lot stronger attack when one of them is not playing which, for the past decade, has been more where we don't measure up to Juve et al over the course of a season than in our "best eleven".

It's a myth to think jose didn't give his players freedom ,i mean this is a guy who manage hazard , ozil , fabregas , sneijder , robben ,di maria an so on. He allows freedom when attacking. It's when defending that he didn't allow freedom , everyone must defend their area when the team doesn't have the ball. Dybala ,is of course, a great signing but this squad still need at least another midfielder and defender to compete on all front

Still it's surprising that he is willing to join UEL team , wonder what Mourinho is saying to him

Roma considering Frankfurt’s Evan Ndicka for the defence as an alternative to Senesi.

Strong Bati vibes with Dybala signing - we haven't had a difference maker in a decently average team since Totti late 2000s/early 2010s. It feels right that Dybala takes the no.10 as he's already coming in with a lot of hype and the pressure that comes with that.

I've never been a huge fan of him but I can't wait to see what Mou's team looks like now he actually has a star player he can rely on for quality.

    Ps. Ciao Zani
