Hello everyone, Im very excited to be part of this forum again sharing experiences and information for this new WC, in my case this would be my fifth one. I'm looking for Argentina first phase tickets (the first 3 games) I have: 1 x Match 57 - QF - Cat 2 1 x Match 59 - QF - Cat 2 1 x Match 50 or 52 - 16 Round - Cat 2 (I have both tickets but i'll only use one for Argentina 16 round if we end 1st or 2nd in the group) I need: M08 - Argentina vs Saudi Arabia M24 - Argentina vs Mexico M39 - Argentina vs Poland Please contact me for trading or selling if it works for you. Thank you.
Great point… If we assume 64 games with a stadium capacity of 40k each (which we know is low) and FIFA has sold 50% of the available tickets (my guess is low) at QAR 250 each ($70, which I think is fair on the conservative side) in the first two phases, we’ve given FIFA $89.6M a good 4 months before the tournament starts. If I worked at FIFA, I’d invest that into a super safe investment (US savings accounts offer a 1.2% APR), grow that by $4M and use it to fund Sepp and Platini’s lawyer fees with enough leftover for a profit sharing program. It truly is incredible to think about..
Hi everyone, Has anyone noticed a pattern on hotel/apt drops? This is ridiculous that at this point there is only a handful of options and a lot of them are not even affordable.
I will point out that I went through all of the apartment complexes in the Al Sadd neighborhood earlier today (as that is where my group is looking to stay) and over half of them (out of I want to say 30+) are still showing “coming soon”. I’m sure the same applies for other neighborhoods. It seems there are a lot of apartments still to come, which could also mean more ticket drops.
I'm looking for one of the $84USD/night clusters. I believe there are three listed as "coming soon", so I've "favorited" them and I check a few times per day to see if they become available
Perhaps they are going to offer extra tickets to people who already have some tickets, like Euro 2020. Matches that people applied for but were unsuccessful. Or matches between dates they already have tickets for (sounds a bit complicated to be honest, but it's doable). I'm just speculating.
Why is the 'conditional approval' not going to full approval on the Hayya application? They say it's still pending in response to my email queries. Has anybody called them and spoken to somebody?
Since you didn't get many answers, I know my story is of UEFA and not FIFA, but for EURO 2020 that used the same ticketing system/software with the same mobile ticketing app, albeit on a smaller scale (with venues at different covid reduced capacities), it was pretty random and sporadic how they would appear. Without going back and checking the EURO2020 Ticketing Thread, I'd say it was something like three or four weeks beforehand that people started receiving the "your tickets are ready to be viewed in the app" emails, but for some matches it was more like two weeks. Not all at the same time - some people got theirs later (hours or days) maybe due to being different category or different product (eg. supporter tickets rather than general sale). This was only for tickets bought well in advance though, and if you bought a ticket for example in the days leading up to the match, the ticket would be "ready for the app" much sooner (eg. one hour, a few hours, the next day). The seating details also began to appear in the code of your account a few weeks before they would be "ready for the app". It's also been another year and a half so maybe there have been technological advancements
In the Europa League final, tickets could be downloaded a week before the match and could be transferred, including those of the main applicant. In the Champions League final, if I remember correctly, the tickets were available 11 days before.
It should move off of pending once your accommodations is confirmed and your passport info is entered, and matching your hayya application. In theory...
Hey everyone me and my friend got our game tickets and accommodations all settled however we still need a flight over. Prices for our flights have been around 1550 USD but have seen flights from our city (Boston) go for 1000 and below, might be a dumb question but do the frequent on the forum have an idea when the prices will go down or if the overall demand will keep the airfares up high like now.
Supporter tickets for England have appeared on the portal today. All group games plus conditional tickets to all knockout games. (I don't think these have appeared in this way previously - all of the ticket sales for England have been through the official supporters club). I wonder whether FIFA are doing this with other countries too - and that they are doing this first before they release any more tickets generally.
I think that would be a good guess. Give some time to the supporter clubs and then dump what remains. I have access to the Canada supporter tickets, but only for group play and not the conditional tickets for the knockout stage. Maybe FIFA thinks England will go further than Canada...
OK so maybe a week or 2 before the match the tickets can be downloaded. And maybe a couple of week before that actual seats are assigned. As for the ability to transfer them, we will just have to wait and see. For the Europa League match, what was the mechanism by which the ticket could be transferred once downloaded? Was there a button that said "transfer" and then an email would be entered?
For UEFA you can transfer or keep any ticket. It is the same currently for the Women's euros. UEFA only impose restrictions if requested by a national football federation. I believe the Football Association requested England travel club tickets should not be transferrable in the app for Euro2020. FIFA restricted transfer of the main applicant ticket for the Arab Cup. They stated in the Fan Leader calls it will be restricted for the World Cup. Guest tickets were easy to transfer for the Arab Cup again just transfer and enter an email. If they have the app the tickets appear if not they get a request to download the app. The restricting of the main applicant transfer is an anti touting measure. I'd be surprised if the policy changed.
Thanks, question about sending a ticket during euros, did the names have to match on both ends of the app. Meaning , if I’m sending a ticket to John Smith born 2/1/1980, did the same information have to match on the recipients app?
Nothing needs to match. Minnie Mouse can send a ticket to Donald Duck or even Donald Trump. Guest details don't matter.
No not at all! Once you send the ticket to the guest (by clicking transfer and then entering their email), when they receive the ticket they have to enter some details if it is the first ticket on this email - maybe something like Name, DOB, Passport. But then that is it. I don't think it is ever cross-referenced or anything, but rather replaced/updated to this new guest info if that makes sense. The whole general idea should be very similar to what you see in these videos: FIFA Mobile Ticketing Video Guide UEFA Mobile Ticketing Video Guide
Not to be snarky but it's impossible to tell. They will either go up, go down, or stay the same. But that $1000+ range has been pretty stable for 6 months or so and not sure why they would dramatically change. You can set those google flight alerts and you'll get an email when there's a change in costs, set your parameters and it'll monitor it for you. Great way to be alerted of deals.
Question, would supporter tickets alert in the scanner? I’m assuming not since it’s special access to certain fans
