Do I get a grouchy point for Crew win by one? Or do only the people who voted for herogasm get the points? I turned this on in the 60th minute, right when Cucho was subbed. What a great 30 minutes of soccer.
Yes, @Ch(Elsey), I do believe I'm in love. Cucho Hernández says it doesn't matter who scores the goals, as long as they win the game. #Crew96 | #VamosColumbus pic.twitter.com/h7SRHODhJP— Bally Sports Columbus (@BallySportsCBUS) July 10, 2022
Jordan at 82:11: "Not stop, drop and roll, but stop drop and goal." Neil: "Dr. Seuss tendencies." And then Jordan after Cucho's goal with an equally ugh quote: "and then every single player from the Crew come and pat their newest member on the head because wise men say that is a spectacular player from the Crew."
There was an on-going stat in the early years where we were absolutely atrocious when trailing at the half on the road. It took a game at Toronto where we were trailing at the half to come back and win. I think our record when trailing at the half on the road was something like 0-862-6. Maybe there was a bit of hyperbole there. (Remember, the first few years had shootout losses count as losses.)
With all the busts we've seen over the years (some lately), I've been skeptical. I also don't know if I believed in love. But now...
With tonight's win at #cf97, #Crew96 has as many road wins as the team did the last two years combine.— Patrick Murphy (@_Pat_Murphy) July 10, 2022
That speaks to our defending. We've lost some games, but we don't get bitchslapped with lopsided scorelines. Most of the teams in the East have gotten slapped around at least once with ugly blowouts. Of the four teams in the positive, the GA for them is 13, 20, 21, 21. The GF for those teams is 37, 33, 29, 23. Guess which one is ours?
Huh? Entering tonight, he had 3 goals and 2 assists. That's not exactly MLS Best XI material. And yet, he's played 17 matches and started 12. So, I'm not sure what your point is.
