You're on to something. Sort of like entering administration in England. Instead, if you get the Wooden Spoon you lose a DP slot for a year. A type of single entity relegation.
That last break, there were 4 guys back bitches were walking. That’s a pride free cherry on the sundae.
No it's Philly that are slackers. Had the chance for the all time beatdown and choked at the end. Losers.
I don't want to be that guy. I may or may not have contributed to the "heart of a lion" tifo. But a mere two hours after Ben Olson praises Ashton... the team, seemed... Unprepared
I barely pay attention to this team anymore but the whole front office needs to be gutted. Just shameful. How long will Fountus stick around for this.
Shocking result. Owner (GM) has to take responsibility. Is this really an MLS caliber squad? Are there really 4 stars on the jersey? maybe they should be removed till we win something in current times?
That was the worst DCU showing that I can remember. Humiliated on national television. We deserve better. At minimum, we deserve a front office that at least pretends to care. Once again, it should provide clarity. This team sucks. One signing in this transfer window is not good enough. I know that it is hard to find good players willing to play for our sh-t team, but this is why the FO get paid the big bucks. Do not sign one player and then come back with the usual "we're happy with our group" BS. We need at least two additional starting caliber players and one depth player to compete. Get it done. Higginbotham commentary was spot on. We have Estrada, Taxi and Kamara up top waiting for service. With Guediri hanging back next to the back line and no Najar pushing forward, you basically have only three in the midfield (Durkin, Skundrich, and Gressel). That is a numerical mismatch in the midfield all night long. Playing three strikers can be entertaining, as we saw on July 4. However, it leaves huge gaps in the midfield that can be exploited. We were overrun by Philly in the midfield in this game. I get that we are trying to find a way to get our best players together on the field, but I see this as a coaching fail. I am not sure that a back three is our best formation, when Najar is out.
Seriously. If not the owners, then Rushton needs to give a major explainer. They can't just let Ashton's presser be the only team comment after a historic loss like this. When Seattle was in one of their few dark periods after a 4-0 road loss to Galaxy in 2010, the owners gave every season ticket holder a game credit--essentially, their money back, even though it was a road game. And the owners, not the coach, issued a major apology. https://www.sbnation.com/2010/5/10/1646903/seattle-sounders-fc-apologizes-to
