I guess it gives them the right not to refund you.

Agree. So best not to risk it at this point especially with the glass walls for the shower, that would be very weird

For sure, if it was my wife no issues, but going with my brother in law, not quite what either of us would care for

It is at the same time as Australia v Denmark.

Actually I was speaking with IHG and told me I can request a twin room after they receive the list from FIFA so they might be able to rearrange me to a TWIN.

    Big if though.

Actually I like the open swimming pool better at Dusit Hotel but look like IHG is closer to metro + has better facilities - overall it is a more expensive hotel

IC were selling twin rooms when they were first released.
I booked a king for my dates. These are usually two singles zipped together, so room reconfiguration should be possible.
For those worried about glass shower screens - just pack some black garbage bags and tape and you will be fine.

I am pretty sure they were selling from today or yesterday, when did you check?

Also they look nothing like reconfiguration:

@brandeau - did you end up getting the whole refund back?

I jumped on the accommodation ship early and spent way more than I initially planned to. im thinking of rebooking now that more accommodation options are popping up.

I got my whole refund back, BUT, there was a 24 hour lag in the system until I could book another room. By that time, the option I wanted was sold out and I had to choose something not as desirable

Did you email them in advance about it? Or did you just cancel it and booked a new one then emailed them with a refund request?

ouch!! Based on the email @Dragonhorse got, I’m guessing the delay had to do with the ticket application number. I wonder if they would still refund me if I used a different ticket application number (but same email and account) since I got a few of those buying tickets in the current FCFS round

I emailed them first to ensure that Id get a refund. They told me the lag would be 4-6 hours to rebook. It was 24

Yea I got the whole refund back too. And it did take me a few hours after cancelling until I was able to book another room. That sucks it could take up to 24 though, room def go really fast sometimes

I jumped the ship early too, didn't know they would keep releasing them bit by bit haha. And if I knew the fan villages would include cabins too I wouldve waited

I also rebooked and got my whole refund back. It took 6 hours before I was able to book, but I used another ticket number and a 2nd account to hold the hotel room for 30 minutes at a time! Luckily it was a slow day at work and I just had to remember to put the room back in my cart once the 30mins expired.

Did you guys send an email to a specific email address? or did you contact them through sending an enquiry in the accommodation website under “contact us”?

I booked about 7 hours prior to this post.
Rooms for my dates weren’t there for long
Yep the pic of that room is a twin, but in my experience (IHG, not this specific hotel) they can usually split a king albeit it might not look as nice.

I used "contact us" then "amends & cancellations"

I booked new room first then canceled existing, provided both #s to them in the contact us box and they responded within a few days to confirm they received the request and I was refunded after 3 weeks.

Excellent. May I ask how it allowed you to book a new room for the same dates before actually canceling the existing one? I am trying to book one now and it’s showing I am not allowed based on the ticket application number. It seems like I need to cancel it first then book a new room.
