Joe Gomez might be my favorite part of this season so far. Centerback was highlighted as a possible weakness before the season, especially with Lovren injured. Instead it has been our biggest strength. He is been sensational alongside Virgil. I love our back 5 of Allison, Trent, Joe, Virgil, and Andy.
Not hard to see the characteristic Klopp most values in his player acquisitions. All of those shown are players he has brought in, correct?
I think Gomez and Firmino were already at Anfield . Trent has come thru the academy though it was Klopp who brought him into the first team.

Joe Gomez has signed a new long term contract with improved terms. Our back four of the future (and present) is world class. Virgil is the best in the world. Robertson best left back in the league. Gomez and Trent are just going to get better and better. And then you can’t say enough good things about the goalkeeper. This time last year we had Mingolet in goal, Moreno left back, and a struggling (and often injured) center-back partnership of Lovren and Matip.
