Who's excited!? Can the Galaxy build off their impressive display against Montreal and continue their dominance against the goats? Will Bale make his debut? Stay tuned!

    Question: Will Brugman be available?

Is there some way Cabral can still be suspended? Who do I pay this time?

If Bale does end up playing, I am excited to see how Julian goes up against him. He has been playing more like himself the last few games. However he'd need to he more careful about taking chances and relying on his speed to make up for any mistakes.

So a tactic for Julian would be to just sneak a golf club and balls onto the field and Bale would get distracted???

Bale hasn't arrived as mbar points out so we won't see him unless he pulls a Zlatan and arrives a day before the match and plays. Old man Chiellini however is with the team and training so we might get a look-see at what sort of impact he can make.

Goats lost their last match to Vancouver. Both Rodriguez and Vela did not play. They said injury, not 100%, bla-bla-bla but I think they were saving them for little 'ol us.

If we beat them again I think the fans will jump out the stands and burst into flames. They are foaming at the mouth from what I can read. Even a tie will taste like poo-poo to them. :sneaky::geek::laugh:

I'll tell you another thing. If any of you plan on attending, make sure you know where the exits are and don't drink past your ability to run. If we win, don't make eye contact.

The good news for this game is that all the pressure is on them and none on us. If they win, big deal - the top team in the west won at home against a mid-table team. If we tie or win - LMAOFC fans are gonna storm the field and commit ritual suicide in Steve's lap.

So they are gonna attack us. And when teams try to bring it to us and not bunker, well that actually plays to our few strengths as a team....

Yeah, total trap game for them. All the pressure's on with the big signings they've made and they even rested players for this match-up. We've defended our home turf twice already this season, so no pressure on us. Let's get that upset win and watch them meltdown.

    All time record, all competitions:
    Galaxy 29 wins
    13 draws
    LAFC/Chivas USA 7 wins

if you just count since the rebrand to LAFC, we have only lost 1 of 12 league matches between the clubs.

The irony here is that Cabral for some odd reason shows up against Black shirted Chivas.

    Edit:
Well for some reason ALL of our squad shows up against them.
Even when we were wooden spooners, we still found a way to play well against them.

Even if Cabral somehow scored against the Goats I would still sell him ASAP. That dude is beyond redemption for me. Costa has some merit even if the idiot red cards himself but Cabral is a lost cause.

Costa did get 1 extra match suspension per yesterday's DisCo release.

Personally I feel Costa has had zero merits. Cabral at least has the speed and work rate to operate on Defense, and he does. Costa doesn't at all.

I still think Cabral has merits, the problem is his salary level, and probably how Vanney sees benching a player of his salary level.

Cabral is basically a 1 trick pony, and can be effective if utilized right, he and Grandsir are basically 1 in the same, high energy, fast wingers.

Its like having Boateng again, for some odd reason he was magical against RSL, and he was a really fast winger, very much a 1 trick pony, and he was useful in certain situations against certain teams.

Costa is a full DP. Cabral is a young DP which allowed up to get Dejan and keep Araujo and Efrain.

So for that reason alone I consider Cabral a better deal that Costa.

Oh god yeah. They can't wait to show off their new toys so I'm sure Chiellini will make an appearance and you better believe they are looking for blood. Which is why the G's must smote them soundly.

Boateng is an excellent comparison. It's why that DP tag hurts so bad. I would not have as big of a problem as I do with Cabral if he just didn't have that tag. I wonder what would it take to get him off of the tag without trading him or cutting his pay?

Cabral was brought here with everybody having the very best of intentions. He did allow for Galaxy to keep and get other personnel. I understand that. It doesn't mean it has to be Cabral going forward now that we know he is not evolving into anything but an iffy player who will soon no longer qualify as a young DP.

It's about that DP slot and the tremendous amount of money we can't use to get anybody else. The classic white elephant situation.

The situation across the team is touch and go with regard to other players but these two players of Costa and Cabral are to me by far the ones that need to go before anybody else. We could go on into what Grandsir makes next to what he provides but i am ok with Grandsir, so far. He will have to be looked at in the offseason.

With Costa I see some impact from game to game. Some more than others but certainly he gives us more than Cabral does inasmuch as he comes in at a supersub level and not a dude that is constantly taking up space for a full 90 as a starter keeping a better player (Dejan) on the bench.

But both of these players Costa and Cabral I am ok with letting go for a chance at better more resilient and productive players. I am tired of wishy washy talk of what little bit he brings and he's no so bad and he may turn it around and all that.

I’m reasonably happy with our squad from here on out.

    I know I’m a nutcase.

After this season we dump Costa or Cabral or both.

Question, with regards to MLS rules, does anyone know if we buy them out on their contract (like we did with Gio, If I remember correctly?) does it affect the salary issues with the rest of the team?
