Honduras U20 defeated Antigua and Barbuda 3-0 and play Jamaica today, if we win we qualify to the next round but we need to qualify 1st to avoid USA and face Cuba which is the probable #2 in their group after defeating Canada.

Honduras U20 smashes Jamaica 5-0 and have qualified to the next round, we only need to tie Costa Rica in our next game to win the group and possibly avoid USA in the next round.

USA and Cuba will face each other to see who will win their group and Cuba only need a tie in order secure the #1 spot.

these last few games both at the National and Francisco Morazan show how terrible our fields are, we need to invest in drainage systems and possible artificial turfs asap.

So if everything goes as planned then it will be us vs Curaçao and if we get passed them face the winner of Panama/Cuba for qualification.

Honduras up 2-1 at the half, dominant in possession and shots on goal too, we need to expand that score in the 2nd half.

Panama defeats Cuba 1-0 and will face the winner of this match.

Didn’t realize that the top two teams will also go on to qualify to the Olympics as well, if we beat Panama then we will face the winner of Costa Rica/USA.

There is a ton of pressure on these kids.

Honduras gets lucky, the GK blocks the penalty but then we make it on the rebound.

    1-1 min 42

Very intense game, Honduras have dominated possession since Panama scored the first goal. Hopefully we can keep it up.

Another penalty in favor for Honduras, hopefully this one is taken better than the first.

Final 2-1, Honduras have qualified to the U20 World Cup. We will now face USA for qualification to the Olympics.

Panama has clearer chances but just couldn’t find the back of the net.

Well we lost 3-0, after seeing how we struggled vs Costa Rica and Panama I knew that we didn’t have chance oh well.

So with the World Cup round the corner I'm already thinking about what our team will look like come 2026.

Manager? I had to check and it's currently Diego Vasquez, let's assume it will still be him.

Players you'd expect to be in their prime and be key to the team:

Luis Palma, Kevin Arriaga, Deiby Flores, Rigo Rivas, Alberth Elis, Denil Maldonado

Hopefully these guys go on to develop their careers and we have a solid contingent of European based players. It would be good if we could lock down Kobe Hernandez by then. He's playing first team football in Norway and might get overlooked due to US depth.

Yeah Kobe needs to get locked down, Key players would be: Luis Palma, Kevin Arriaga, Rigo Rivas, Jonathan Rubio, Edwin Rodriguez, Joseph Rosales, Denil Maldonado, Alberth Elis and Deybi Flores.

Rumors that Kevin Lopez has an agreement with a MLS team already and the possibility of Michael Chirinos getting interest abroad due to his performance in the Concacaf League, if both manage to go abroad get minutes they will only give us more depth in the wings.

The biggest hole right now is defense and then forwards.

I hope Bryan Rochez manages to establish himself at his new club. It would be a shame if all the progress be made with Nacional was undone.

Moves to MLS would be good for Lopez and that tier of player but long-term our best guys need to be playing in Europe.

The defence is definitely our weak spot. It seems our CB hopes rest with Motagua, with Maldonado, Pereira and Melendez. Which domestically might be competitive but the level amongst other CONCACAF teams has progressed so right not they don't inspire me with confidence.

Rochez signed a deal for 3 years at worst he gets loaned back out to a 2nd division team.

If Flores and Palma continue their trajectory they will end up jumping to a bigger league and it’s already rumored that La Liga teams are interested.

Denis Maldonado hopefully leaves soon even MLS would be good at this point but I believe he can succeed in Greece if that chance ever comes up.

Two other guys that I hope can recoup their level would be Carlos Pineda and Kevin Alvarez.
