doesn't seem as of now to be moving up to Bayern U17. In their recent official squad announcement, Bayern promoted 8 players born in 03 with the rest of the squad being 02 born.

Person on Twitter just replied to one of my replies to say that Burke had left Bayern. Not able to look up confirmation right now.

wouldn't be surprising, when a club promotes 8 03 to the U17 and your not included, it does mean you have low prospects there.

    yeah it seems confirmed.
He's not in the U17 squad nor is he in the U16 squad.

Probably nowhere. Washing out of any youth academy at that age is a bad sign. Remember the vast majority of U19 even at a club like Bayern never have any sort of pro career, so if you are washing out years earlier it must be a bad sign.

That's a pretty harsh assessment, no? The kid's had U.S. national team exposure; can't be that bad. Should probably land at a pretty decent team. Bayern is brutal, competition wise.

Bayern is not so brutal that a player will decent potential will wash out that early. Remember, most of the players promoted ahead of him will never sign a professional contract.

Sure, but TDS had him listed as a top prospect, number five in fact, for his age. And that was just over a year ago. I bet they've just moved on.

Of course. But this would be quite a precipitous drop over literally months, which is obviously not out of the realm, but still quite remarkable. I still think there may be something to do with the mother and her Glaxo gig. Really interested to see where he ends up...

was checking out Unterhaching U17 for a couple of players when I remembered the ex Bayern Burke. Seems like he's been on "special leave" according to TM from matchday 1-9, wonder what that means?
then played 12 min on matchday 10 in a 3-2 win followed by unused bench for matchday 11-12.

so he's been more active for the club in past 3 games.
