Later on when the resale portal opens, if a main applicant purchased a ticket for himself and a guest, will it be possible to sell the main ticket back to FIFA and keep the guest ticket and change the name on it? Anyone know?

 

Finally managed to get to the portal after 5 hours in the queue, all the group stage games I was looking for are gone... but somehow the final popped up and managed to grab 1 x cat3... cannot even believe my luck, LFG!!!!!

 

Wtf, i think semi and final not release. I'm already out, now try to get in, back to very very long queue.

 

I cant find what time check in starts at the clusters. Im landing in Doha around 10. So if check in is around 12, then I Can book accomodation from that Day. If check in is around 14, then I Will book from the Day before. Dont want to wait 4 hours to get my room

landing in doha to actually getting in room are two different things. check in probably is 2 or 3 but if you arrive at 10, you won't be there before noon. get some lunch and relax and don't waste 200$ just to get a room a few hours early.

 

The understanding is that is not possible. You can however sell the guest ticket back and keep the main applicant.

You do realise names on tickets have never mattered.

Flight from AUH to DOH- free with points
5 nights in Doha (apartment) $500 each person
7 games Cat 2/3- $950 each person

$2250 all in. My most expensive World Cup yet but mitigated the cost best I could.

 

Has anyone ever needed to email the website for help at all? I saw people weeks earlier mentioning help with changing accommodation etc.
If so how long before you heard a reply? A day, a few days.. a week?? Thanks

 

The final became available for a min or 2.
And I managed to add 1 x CAT2 to my cart. Got it

 

Just get the next day I did. Well worth it. Remember time is money.

 

I finally got in and Mexico Vs Poland wasn’t available. So I left. Very disappointing.

well they say good things come to those who wait... I waited over 5 hours despite being at a massive family gathering here in Malaysia.... kept coming back to check every 15 minutes getting more and more frustrated by the minute. Several times I considered giving up completely especially as the opening ceremony and final were supposedly not availbe only to just say to myself, "meh, might as well just wait it out, ya never know..."

Anyhoo, after more than 5 hours of waiting and after most people had gone home, finally I get logged in. I expect nothing but disappointment but to my surprise there behold in my fair gold... tickets for both the opening ceremony and final available, practically all 3 categories too! So I snagged category 2 final + Qatar v Ecuador. Also got a pair of cat 3 Netherlands v Senegal just to get the opening game too....

Can't believe my luck to be honest....
