The new Boca kits are pretty nice. As I mentioned before, a collar goes a long way. Granted, I was not a major fan of the 2011 kits, which had one but I think overall, collars help the appeal of a jersey.

Our older kits. Stylin and profilin…

Then again, Tigre has had some of the best looking kits, particularly in the 90s.

I’m kinda excited about the seleccion’s away kits. I wonder what they’re actually going to look like, rather than just speculation.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have raised their offers close to the release clause for Licha. So one way or the other it's more than likely he will not be at Ajax at the start of the new season.

Interesting to see Mateo Retegui son of Carlos impressing at Tigre. Carlos being the manager of both Las Leonas and the mens hockey teams and being very successful with both.

Love the new kit. Does bring to mind 1978. I expect the away kit to be an azure blue perhaps akin to that of 1978. Look forward to the release of it which should not be too far off.

@Burr @ cigar_city shame about not getting the threepeat or Kuch getting another 30 point playoff haul. I expect the team will be back next season. Point was missed. Shift Killorn, McDonaugh, Paul (will be hard) and trade also for a decent back up to the Cat.

Paul was a big part of the run. Glad they were able to re-sign him on the cheap (albeit long term, but with the cap going up by then shouldn't be a big deal). Killorn only has a year left so should be easy to move if they go that route especially given the surprisingly strong regular seasons he's had recently. McDonagh is going to be painful to lose as our ability to roll 2 defensive lines with top end talent was a big part of our postseason dominance, though he arguably seems to have lost a step. He has a no trade clause which will make him more difficult to move, though. I actually thought Brian Elliott was an excellent backup this year, particularly down the stretch. Just wish we used him a bit more to give Vasi more rest.

Tagliafico being linked to Brighton and Lyon in the press today. Brighton as a replacement for Cucurella if he walks to UAE.

Midweek, Armani played well for River v Velez in the CL. Granted, Velez should’ve won the game comfortably but missed on a number of golden opportunities. They won 1-0 with the second leg on Wednesday. Velez will regret not putting away those chances and I suspect River will win the second match and the tie.

But today Armani with a disaster show. Kept bumbling the ball, and he was certainly at fault for one goal and could be argued for the second as well. He also had a chance to stop a PK and guessed the wrong way, as he normally does. I still do not understand why he is even being considered, let lone being our#2. I do not think Rulli should be an option and I hope Musso plays better. Rossi is a penalty specialist but he’s definitely a long shot.

On a side note. Julian scored again. And his last match before going to City is Wednesday. Aforementioned, it will be Velez v River in a CL match. I’d tune, and I am hoping for an exciting match, which I think we will get.

I don't mind Armani as a 3rd GK (What are the chances that the first 2 choice GKs are injured/suspended?), but he really shouldn't be the 2nd GK imo. Scaloni however sees things differently and I think Armani will be the 2nd GK.

Musso (who is reported to be in the WC squad) has played a grand total of 113 minutes for the NT since Scaloni has been named as the coach (equivalent to a little over a full game) and his last game was vs Bolivia after the NT won the Copa America. I made peace with the fact that Armani will be the 2nd GK, but this is a decision that I don't see eye to eye with Scaloni.

I can dig it. I’ll be getting one for sure.

Here’s hoping it becomes a memorable jersey

Rossi with another big PK shootout performance, stopping two and giving his team a chance to win before Benedetto chokes it all away (why was he in when he was playing poorly all night?).

I love how Vasquez was doing great last season and then they just brought a washed up Benedetto to delay the pibe’s development

Well, the 2 biggest Arg clubs, Boca and River, out of the Libertadores

Very dissapointing. I was hoping for a good showing from Julian before leaving for #Manchester

Anyways, ill be rooting for my team (pinchas) to win tomorrow and hopefully clean up the brasileros

I only caught the last 45 minutes or so(There was almost 10 minutes of stoppage time) and River could not do much against Velez. In fact, Velez had a better opportunity and Armani saved a breakaway. River did manage to do a bit better when Barco came on for DLC and he gave a great pass that led to a goal, which was overturned.

Velez do have a talented player in Peronne, who got man of the match. A 19 year old midfielder who can do many good things. City were already interested in him and I’m sure their scouts were watching the match because of Julian. I personally would not like that move, unless they loan him out to Spain, Italy or keep him at Velez for a bit longer.

Julian, from what I saw was just missing in action. Granted, I did not watch the first half but he did very little in the moments that I watched. Perhaps, he had too many things on his mind. His last game for River, thinking about going out with a win and sending River to the Quarters and moving to England, where he’ll be introduced this weekend. Perhaps it was just too much for him. But I’m really excited to see how he does in England. He’s got everything to succeed and all we can do is wish him the best.

Read reports that Julian Alvarez is set to travel to Manchester City on July 8th - needs to start the pre-season ManCity training. Crazy. He is not going to get any rest this off-season and will play all the way to the WC. Not good for his development, imo. Ideally, he needed a month's rest.

Enzo Fernandez' transfer seems to be held up - I thought he was supposed to go to Benfica only after River's Copa Libertadores cup ends, which means he should be done at River.

Better for him to get with his new team as soon as possible to start training and learning the systems. He is young; the lack of "vacation" time this year is not a big deal.

Enzo should also get with Benfica ASAP. Always drama and confusion with these transfers that cannot be good for the player.

Everything seems to indicate Enzo will join Benfica now since River is out of the Libertadores, but we’ll have to see

Think the design could be better, but as long as the jersey gives good luck for the rest of the year, then I'm cool with it.

I am not a fan of the black stripes - its not part of our flag. I think the jersey should only have the colors of the flag and adding black stripes seems kind of whack to me - but ironically, I would like a black-themed alternative jersey (that would be dope)

Looks a bit like the 2018 kit, at least in the front. The only difference I am seeing is the black stripes being longer in our new kits.

But I do like the numbering on our new kits.

I’ve mentioned it many times, in terms of sheer beauty, the 98 kit does it for me. I still have mine. I really taught our our last kits were just flat out ugly but since we won in them, they look much more beautiful.

It seems we get kits almost every year. The early 2000s and since 2014.
