Basically 1/8 of the men's head coaching jobs in college soccer turned over this off-season.

    Seems like a lot.

A lot of new coaches but very few D1 to D1 Head Coaching moves which I found interesting. Only three that I see. Grand Canyon, UConn and Wisconsin.

Nearly four months later, Chicago State has their guy! Probably wanted to ensure they had a thorough search and turned over every stone.

i felt the sarcasm as I'm not sure any stones were turned...poorly funded schools take their time so they don't have to pay a head coaching salary for four months while getting all the same work done by the assistant. New fiscal year most likely starts on July 1st so his salary will probably start then... Saved the department probably $25,000. That's the reality of soccer and Chicago State.

Department budget was roughly $8m for 2020-2021. They can afford to pay.

Any and all can. Just because they choose to be cheap and screw certain programs doesn’t mean budgets can’t afford it.

... of which $3 million is scholarship so a $5 million budget for a Division I school. They saved nearly 3% of their coaching salaries for the year with the move to not hire a coach. Not saying it's right, just the mindset of schools that are barely staying afloat. We are not talking Ohio State here.

It’s their choice to stay DI. No one is making them.

They can take the criticisms if that’s how they choose to operate.
