A lot of people are coming from different countries. It’s definitely going to be good vibes and good times. If you like like expansive things and places you already set the money aside to spend on those things.
If people are saying that they aren’t going to have fun for ect reasons then the problem is them not the venue.
32 countries there’s definitely going to be awesome memories made.

 

Have you guys already downloaded and registered on EHTERAZ app or do we need to do it only when we get in Doha?

I have 4 friends coming from Central America and 11 of us from LA. We’re planning out the cheapest places to eat and booze and party. Beach carne asada, burgers or whatever. Not really going to Qatar to enjoy the fancy buildings and expensive malls. We’re going for the games and party .

Just received my refund on my original apartment booking. Took less than two weeks.

 

While I am up in the middle of the night to see of FIFA does a surprise FCFS opening, I was looking at tickets for sale from 3rd parties. One site said that i could pick up my tickets directly from the seller at the stadium before game time:

Any thoughts on how that might work? Once the tickets are downloaded on the seller's phone, can they be transferred by blue tooth to my cell phone FIFA App complete with the active bar code?

Its not particular to a culture, but if there is a squeeze in the market, anyone can be after a single ticket. Italy x uruguay in Natal in 2014, we were 6 friends, 4 of us had single tickets.

From a journalist who went to the Peru match, you have to do it at least a week before going to Doha, as it took her about 3 days for an answer.

Obviously, that could change for the WC.

Eating out in Doha is relatively inexpensive. I don't see that going the way of hotels/apartments and flights (although they have come down a lot). Alcohol is still the great unknown although signs are positive.

Your critique of these packages is quite correct. I had experience of this in South Africa. Thomas Cook (remember them?) had travel packages. I called to see if they were selling only tickets to matches. They said no. A while later I got a call saying they COULD sell tickets. I happily got to see the only time twins have played against each other in a World Cup Finals match.
Get the tickets for the matches you HAVE to watch. Keep patient on other matches. The packages described above will be broken up and fed into the portal if they cant be sold.

 

I cant see the logic of buying another SPARE ticket. Loads of people just need to buy one extra ticket.

 

It will open on July 5th at exactly 11:00 AM CET. But you must wake up at least two hours prior. This is because the link that was shared on here, which allows you to get into the queue early, becomes functional approximately two hours before the portal opens. If you click on the link two hours before opening, once it opens, you will be one of the very first people in the portal, and will be able to pick virtually any ticket you want.
