You have to adapt the game to the staff. Haller, of course, must be supplied with flanks from the left and right. Is a different type of player than Haaland, you could serve him from any position. Perhaps now that Haaland is gone, Malen can step out of his shadow and take a step forward.

Dortmund lacks financial and sporting attractiveness, there is no world-class striker, they go to Spain, England or Italy, ok Munich still.

Who would you want to sign if you had a free choice?

Haller is a good choice, proven in the BL speaks German already, and scored a lot of goals in the CL last season. He is also 28 so will spend his prime years at the club, which is different to most signings.

I think overall it’s been a good first transfer window from Kehl, the defence looks better with the potential Sule-Schlotterbeck pairing, Ozcan was a cheap but smart looking deal and Adeyemi and Haller should bring different strengths to the attack. If Raum signs as well I would say it’s been a very good summer.

I didn't understand that Knauff was let go either. Moukoko is still green behind the ears, but I would have given him more playing time. D.Malen is a very good player, but a player must always fit into the system. As I wrote in the transfer thread, maybe he grabs himself by the sack and gets in the mood to play soccer.

I do but given that it's an international forum with people from all over the world posting here, I think it would be weird and a bit rude to limit the group that you can communicate with.
Also as you mentioned your English skills before, besides actually talking with natives, there's no better way to become comfortable and improve your foreign language skills than daily communication.

I see it the same way, just thought that there might be a thread where German is communicated. Primarily, however, I signed up here because of English in connection with soccer, which is very good.

Congrats on picking up Haller. He's not a direct replacement for Haaling (who is?) and lacks the explosive speed. He had a great first half of the season last year but trailed off in the second. I think the primary reason was Antony missed the last two months of the season with a foot injury and the lack of a scoring threat from the right wing left more opportunities for double team on Haller.

Overall not an abysmal window but still some things to address.

Midfield still worries me and yes Id like to see another winger.

Attack is probably Haller Reus Adeyemi. (Malen, Moukoko)
    Midfield Bellingham ?? ???
Defence is Sule Schlotterbeck Raum Munier

So will the extra winger sit on the bench

I have no Idea, Right Winger can i think of only Wolf. But he is actually Right Back.

Raum i don't know, BVB or ManUnited?

I’m guessing it will be a 4-3-3 with Malen and Adeyemi flanking Haller. Reus will play as a 10 along with Bellingham and Ozcan in midfield.

In terms of out and out wingers Wolf and Gittens will probably be the main candidates.

Raum wants to sign for BVB apparently, the issue will be raising the funds. Selling Akanji, Hazard and Schulz would do it, I’m struggling to see which club will want to pick up Schultz’s wages though.

Malen is no winger and not particularly good anyway. His crossing is nothing special. Adeyemi is not a typical winger either and more of a second striker.

Bellingham just does whatever he wants. It's funny how after just a couple of games everyone in England realised he can only play midfield, but not our board.

The last few seasons have shown good technical coached teams beat high energy teams.

I wouldn't be surprised if we lost Moukoko, Brandt and Dahoud. Then the board will realise what they had.

Yeah I was thinking Malen & Adeyemi would play more inside in a narrower front 3 in that system. Kind of like the way Nagelsmann was trying to use Sane and Gnabry last season. The other option would be to play a 3-4-1-2 with Guerreiro and Meunier (or Wolf) as wing backs.

I think with Ozcan (or Dahoud) playing as the 6, Bellingham will be freed up to play box to box.

In terms of Dahoud, Brandt and Moukoko’s futures, Dahoud is apparently appreciated by the management and an extension is possible, the situation is less clear with the other two. It seems the club would be open to selling Brandt and Moukoko’s situation is undecided with 1 year left, he will want a lot more playing time I suspect which I’m not sure the club can guarantee. A sale with buyback clause has been mentioned.

Without Winger is Haller relative senseless i think. I remember he is header Specialist.

I'm curious if you could tell that the likes of Sancho, Haaland and Hakimi were going to be that good, on the day they were signed at BVB. I personally couldn't. And the only one who went on to a crazy level from the start was Haaland.

My point is that it's not obvious to me how you can tell that all the new players are mediocre. Even Malen I'm not worried about him, and I think he has the potential to be something good.

I think for the rest of the summer I would want to see:
    - Schultz and Hazard leave
    - A new LB
    - A young RB who can sub in for Meunier

For the next season I just want to see the number of injuries become normal. If last season's injuries was Rose's fault, then sacking him was the right move. Did they actually end up making changes to the medical team??

Yes, they brought in the fitness coach from Arsenal...
And they don't need RB, with Meunier, Wolf, and a returning Morey they should be good for a season, Knauff will take that spot, there is no point crowding it, and they also have Semic who plays there from youth team. I think they will try and sell both Guerrero and Schultz and gO raum and Rothe. altho if Akanji ends up staying and can be persuaded to renew, maybe they go 3 at the back, in which case no point selling Hazard or guerrero as they can both play RWB and LWB respectively. And you can move Brandt to the double pivot which I think is his best position as a deep lying playmaker. And just tell them to cross more, whats the big deal, just kick the ball in the middle somewhere... Haller will be there, the dude is a bean pole.

That would my first idea. Ok, Malen is'nt a left winger, no matter at first. But with so many Players it gives thousend Potentiallities.

No, because I hadn't watched them and I wasn't upset about them. I was wary of Sancho, because I know English players have no desire staying in Germany and will always leave. I was fairly sure I was very happy with Haaland, especially beating United and new he was a quality player. Though again, I probably wouldn't have got involved with Raiola.

Malen is nothing like those. He is a distinctly average player. I feel about Malen just like I felt about all the other average players like Castro to Yarmolenko. I hope I am wrong, but these are not the signings of a team aiming to win things.

They are the signings if a team aiming to scrap top 4.

That's a ridiculously bad team. No Reus, no Dahoud and it's so open. Bellingham is not a midfielder.
