You should upgrade to a Mexico game. They all wear 4 foot wide "charro" hats. You basically pay to watch a bunch of large hats bob and weave in front of you.
Also did that lol. But I believe in a higher power... and that higher power has stated that Mexico will make the Round of 16 and then lose so they can't possibly flameout.
Just announced by FIFA: - 1.2 Million tickets sold - 2 million tickets will be sold in total so, still around 800K available plus 1 million reserved for FIFA/sponsors. https://sports.ndtv.com/fifa-world-...world-cup-tickets-sold-organisers-say-3091292
So a little over 25% of total tickets still available (2.2M of 3M gone) with 5 months and a FCFS phase to go...anyone know how this compares to past World Cups?
This means next date is set to be announced and if those inventories are legit, we can have a clear idea a out what to expect.
And yet for some strange reason, the highest demand ticket is Argentina vs Mexico! I for one will go to the France Denmark match, but some friends may want that charro and Messi passe experience
That means that after 800K in phase 1, they only sold 400K in phase 2? THAT is not good as the largest sales should come once the groups are defined you would think?
I think this might be an attempt to discourage people from wanting to buy tickets for ARG-MEX and give himself a better chance of getting a ticket for it. Don't think it's going to work, somehow...
Yes, but the phase 2 sales numbers only are for the silly draw without a credit card requirement. Touts and speculators picked up a most of the allocations with ZERO intention to buy the tickets. Now the real fans get to fight it out for 800k tickets.
Now it's obvious why they've extended last round for two days. In the first phase they have sold 800.000 tickets. In the first phase we didn't know what we are buying. So i am pretty sure a lot of people are waiting for the exchange portal to return their unwanted tickets to FIFA. In the last phase they have sold 400.000 tickets. That makes 1,2 milion tickets sold. Demand is low and their last chance is next FCFS. I'm sure they are going to offer all of the tickets in every category.
Not an accurate comparison. We're still not done with Phase 2. The silly draw where anyone with a pulse could apply prevented real fans from getting to the tickets.
Hard to say. 800k of phase 1 is together with FCFS. So, we would probably know right after this 2nd phase. There could be people also who didn't get the tickets they wanted and would probably take a shot at the FCFS instead.
It's because us Mexicans aren't afraid to spend and we love experiences. The Argentine have a great fan base and it's Messi last world cup. Let's remember that Mexico is always in top 3 teams that sell tickets. You think the large amount of tickets purchased from US address are buying just US tics? Nope
I'm counting on that. What do you think how many unwanted tickets is going to be sold back to FIFA? Tickets from the first phase.
I bought cat1 for Russia final through a TST7 (so 10 x cent extra) it was 1100 usd plus the 10 percent around 1200 usd
Peruvian fans are definitely trying to dump their tickets. I see it all over facebook, and theyre a huge fan base. But other than that; I don't anticipate anymore than usual. What would drive massive returns? a fan willing to lose 10% after they made a decision to apply for tickets... they were given almost 2 weeks to think about paying for them (not a spur of the moment emotional decision). so after all that they end up saying "I change my mind; I don't want to go" ..I don't see anything that would drive massive returns.
I have cheered on Mexico for 40 years as CONCACAF's principal representative. But if they could only collect 1 of 6 points from Canada this year in qualifying, I've refocused onto Canada. Even the Ticos managed 3 points...
