4-4-2 was amazing in 2015 but i dont think we have the players for it now .

Ronaldo had already transition to a second striker/pure goalscorer as he lost his pace and dribling ability and didnt really played as a winger anymore .Peak Modric,Isco,Kroos,Marcelo,Carvajal and James having his best season .....so much creativity and ball control....we dont have these players anymore.

Vinicius is a winger not a second striker,his speed,accerelaton and beating players are crucial.Fede and Camavinga are very different midfielders than Modric/Kroos/Isco...they are fast,strong ,direct ....4-3-3 /4-5-1 fit the players we have

 

The second striker should be Rodrygo.

Still think we should get Gouiri if we manage to sell Asensio , Jovic , Ceballos.U can see alot of articles about the man linked with us.
He got similar playstyle like big Benz who can mentor him two more years .Hes young great prospect who can fill all roles in our attack.Amazing technical ability , finisher and hold up play , hardly loses the ball for a striker and good at creating chances...
I just dont see any better striker who can fit us better after Haaland and Mbappe made they choice...

 

I don't see why we'd be in a rush to add anyone. We've had an output of Spanish talent and most likely would like another injection; specifically from our Castilla.

We're most likely promoting Arribas and retaining Mayoral. Unless something major happens like Ganbry demanding out, we will stay put.

I think they would be smart enough to put some kind of language in the contract that protects them from a team immediately activating the clause this summer..

 

RB source that broke this news few weeks back said the clause is valid only from 2023.

 

Looking at the complete picture (Spanish talent) this view makes the most sense to me

 

It’s the smart play by Nkunku IMO. If he can replicate this season again he’ll have his pick and really maximize his value next summer.

 

Thats like saying Rashford is of similar mold to Mbappe. There is a massive gap in quality there.

A better comparison would be James Rodriguez, who Ancelotti always knew how to maximize. I'd love Dybala here, hes a proven elite forward and could also cover for Benzema as a false nine on occasions where we play minnows.

 

I think the main point is that Dybala isn't coming here to play backup.

An even better comparison is Saviola.

 

Someone posed the idea of extending and loaning Ceballos and while it seems strange it’s probably the best idea I’ve seen. He could be a very useful player for us, just not next season.
