Punching may not have been the best decision but punching softly towards the penalty spot is not the type of play you expect from a 15 year professional. We need an upgrade ASAP.

Why do we have 5 injured starters after a 3 week break? I know Mensah had the concussion. Santos, Yeboah, Artur? What happened to them? We put out a USL lineup and couldn’t compete against a bad team. Simple as that.

If your voice is 95% of your job, you should probably be smarter about not messing it up. If you know you’re out of a job in a few months though, who cares I suppose.

Did anyone else notice the increase in the number of long forward passes, all of which created a dangerous situation exactly once? It bothered me less and less as the game wore on, because they weren't keeping possession very well when they weren't firing off Hail Marys.

    Good times.

That Charlotte goal really started with Shinyashiki's "dummy" on Moreira along the west sideline at around the :40 mark of the video. Then Shinyashiki stayed with the play, and showed up in the box to knock in the rebound.

    Regarding announcers:

I'm not necessarily suggesting the idea, but I wonder to what degree it might work.

In England (and at least once for MLS), they had/have a feature where they use an alternate audio track to have one supporter from each team calling the match. People watching Newcastle vs Brentford would have the choice of having the professional announcers or a Newcastle fan calling alongside a Brentford fan.

Using this concept, Fox Soccer Channel had one delayed game per week when they had EPL rights.

As an EPL neutral, it was fun. It obviously worked in England since it was a thing for many years...and possibly even exists to this day.

If given the choice of Neil and Jordan or a Crew fan alongside a KC fan...hmmm...

Flip side was that Berry did one thing right--he kept on going after losing the ball and forced the keeper into the error that resulted in the goal

It’ll just be 89 minutes of me bitching that I want Porter to sub on Diaz and The Roweboat, and then 5 minutes of me bitching that they got subbed on too late.

I’ll end it with a tangent about the War of 1812 and then scream “THE PIGEONS!!” a few times for good measure, leave an awkward hanging silence for a few seconds, and then mic drop right out of the studio.

    Thanks for posting the video.

That was certainly a shot he should have caught and a good keeper only blocks a shot back into the middle of the 18 if they have no other choice.

Bad decisions by Room have become commonplace.

I'm not saying Room couldn't have done better, but we had other issues on this play. Igbekeme was calling for the ball to be out so he stopped playing as well as Morris who was looking to see if the linesman called it out. Both should have just kept playing since there was not whistle and one or both would probably been in position to defend the open player that scored the goal.
