I see that now. Also see that mount has or will meet with the board.

Sounds like a great opportunity to speculate wildly.

If they bring in Sterling or Dembele without Werner and/or Ziyech leaving the chances of him leaving go up a lot. Connor Gallagher could be competition as well. I still think the economics make it likely that he will stay though.

He's good enough to be useful to Chelsea but his valuation has definitely dropped.

I think he has been treated fairly just a lot of good competition. He needs to outperform offensively since he doesn't press well.

I wouldn't mind him moving on to a more attack oriented side. This slow plodding possession system isn't doing him any favors.

I just want a return to simpler times when CFC could be rooted against and their fan base scurried ack to the shed end

Whether it's Pulisic or someone else there's at least 2 or 3 players who are leaving Chelsea this summer.

Lukaku seems to be one and there's a lot of talk of Werner leaving. And I would predict one of Ziyech or Pulisic also leaves.

Dembele seems pretty certain at this point, though Sterling is much less certain at current.

Sterling earns a truckload of money... I'd be surprised if that went anywhere.

Think his agent just trying to move him, somewhere. Don't think he's been happy at City for awhile now.

Dembele is bad business. He's worse than Pulisic in terms of staying healthy.

You're essentially going to pay a HUGE wage for a maradona/drama queen.

Yeah, I just don't understand CP talking to the board.

It's like an employee is going to go talk to the boss' boss. Not a good sight.

Unless the board requested/wanted a talk with CP.

This happens all the time, especially when it comes to ownership/regime changes.
This is in all likelihood pretty much a nothing story.

Players routinely meet with management. When I had a boss' boss, I met with that person without my boss present. I meet with junior people without their bosses present regularly. It doesn't mean someone's really going over anyone else's head.

I suspect the Board requested the meeting....

If his future is not fully certain at the club because he has problem with his playing time, he should be meeting with Tuchel, the guy that is directly in charge of his playing time.

Meeting the board while side stepping the coach should be in contract negotiation or requesting a move away etc....Maybe that's what it is.

Maybe the board requested some players to talk to. Skip level or just field level feedback. Tell us about overall operations. Any suggestions for improvement. Definitely not that crazy, all depends on the topic they’re covering

Mark Pulisic’s tweet made it clear that something is brewing. But that doesn’t necessarily mean anything will happen in the end. I kinda hope he gets a fresh start somewhere.

For all we know Tuchel may very well be in the meeting or they may have already had a separate conversation.

Either way whether he asks to leave or if he signs a new contract, that's something that happens at level above Tuchel (though with his consultation).

Could be that the Board is meeting with certain players to discuss marketing approaches. Mount is certainly marketable in UK, and Pulisic in the US - especially with Chelsea touring US this summer.

Re bolded text. Remember, there are new owners and these "talks" may simply be a way for the owners (and possibly new board members) to obtain expedited insight to the inside of the club operations plus a bit about individual player view points on issues that need airing.

Based upon what the owner says in this article, you may be right…

Does thinking he hasn't been worth the money count as hate?
Because does anyone think he's worth what Chelsea paid him?

I expect more from a 60M+ signing on 175k a week, or whatever it is... but that said, he's been productive/definitely not a "bust".
It's mostly the injuries that are the problem keeping him from being considered value for money, at this point.

That and Tuchels slotting him in different slots, which is great from a versatility standpoint, but raises questions about whether a utility player should be getting a number 10s pay packet.

For Mount, I believe I read it was about his contract.
