a place for Mayoral.........from one average player to another .

It is incredible how much succes the club is having the past 8/9 seasons with only 1 world class striker in the squad.I mean every big club has more good options than RM in the striker position ......

i get that Benzema is Benzema and he was untouchble for Zidane and now he is the best player in the world ....but it is not normal for RM for so many years to not have a back up......can we get someone like i dont know Origi?????I mean he was good of the bench for Klopp.

Just get Osimhen ffs. If we were ready to bring Haaland, then we have room for a worldclass striker between the right wing slot, Benzema rotation and World Cup tight schedule. Osimhen is every bit as good as Haaland imo, technically he's even better, just plays in a league where it is harder to score because teams are more defensive.

he will cost 100/120 million euros to be a back up.Napoli paid 70/80 million for him and Napoli always asks ridicilous money for their best players - Koulibaly,Cavani etc

If he does arrive, he must go loan since we don't have EU spot for him in the first team. Given his age, I assume that he will move between Castilla and first team in his first two seasons or more. But he probably won't do much on the First team, regardless of EU status. So what is my main post? If he goes on loan, he better stays with a Spanish club so that he can live in Spain and get his EU passport. Reiner's mistakes were not just only going to a club where he has fierce competition. He also lost two years of residential requirement for an EU passport. I believe he will take longer because he lives in Germany.

Of course, I do not know if they can get EU passport by descent.

Don't even bother signing him if we are going to loan him. We already have Kubo, Brahim, Reinier etc who are not gonna make it to RM team and have been on loan for years. No need to keep adding to that list. If they sign him, it should be because they believe he can be Benzema's back up once Vini gets his passport. Let him play for Castilla till then like his Brazil U-20 NT teammate Vinicius Tobias.

Loaning out top Brazilian talents as soon as they land in Europe is a terrible strategy. Vini/Rodrygo made it at RM dealing with the pressure and expectations that comes with the biggest club in the world. Even Case, Fede played a season at Castilla coming from South America and got acclimatized. They did very well, but had to be loaned out after a season as our midfield was stacked.

Back up ST has been our weak point for years now. Nascimento can be promoted fast if he does well at Castilla. Vini will get his passport by January.

So Jovic seems going on a loan to Fiorentina.
Sell Mariano, Kubo, Cabellos and Brahim.
    Loan Renier.
Buy: Matheus Nacaimiento (Castilia) and Gnabry
Rodrygo can play as a 2nd ST / RW or LW

Would have been the same for Haaland. 100/120 is a very realistic price for a striker of that quality. Backup for a year is fine, he won't get disgruntled. He's 22 years old and it will solve the striker issue for years to come. Just grow some cojones, count the money, and dew it Flo!

We can't loan Renier again. He needs time at home. I know every personality is different but even Carvajal had time with us before he went out.

About our midfield .... I've watched a couple of Camavinga interviews in French lately.

He said quite clearly that his preferred position is as a 6 in front of the defence, and that his favorite role is to bring the ball out of the back as the first option.

This is very interesting because it effectively means:

Camavinga can play 6, or 8
Tchouameni can play 6 or 8
    Fede - 8, CM, RW

Between the 3, that's two DMs and three B2B midfielders.

This means that out of KCM.... the most easily replaceable ones in order are:

    1. Casemiro; and
    2. Kroos

With Modric playing his final year next season, I wonder if we might see a full exit of KCM after next season because Case and Kroos are covered with Tchouameni and Camavinga.

The club could easily decide to move Casemiro and Kroos to make way for Bellingham and maybe someone from Castilla.

    Cama - Tchou - Fede - Bellingham - X - X

I know it's a question for much later...but it highlights how insanely flexible our midfield is.

My guess is that at least 2 of KCM will be gone at the end of next season. Amazing midfield planning by the club.

Here's one of the interviews in question:

Lunin will continue at RM next season.

I think he doesn't trust even struggling La Liga teams after Leganes and Valladolid benched him to start average veterans instead. Might as well stay at RM, train with top class coaching staff and players.

Could be e good environment for him hopefully.

Replicate some of the success Vlahovic had and we see his stock rise then ship him off to a buyer.

I just hope he gets enough game time and doesn't rot there on their bench.

I'm sorry, but how is this guy worth that kind of money? Never heard of him before to be honest and looking at his stats, they're nothing too special. How is he just as hood as Haaland?

I guess you just need to watch him.

btw take the six penalties away from Haaland and give them to Osimhen (Insigne shoots them for Napoli, he actually had like 10 this season), and their stats are pretty much the same.

Osimhen is an absolute monster, doesn't have any weaknesses. Unfortunately the Serie A doesn't give you the Bundesliga hype, and its defense oriented so there is less goalscoring stats (these two are obviously related).

But if there is a reason why Tchouameni was valued at 100 million, there is also a reason why Osimhen is valued a bit higher.

Sign the Brazilian kid and leave him in Castilla. Loan Jovic and just release Mariano. Bring back Mayoral. If you sell Asensio go for Gnarby. I would also renew Ceballos and loan him for a year.

Haaland spent half the season injured, last season he scored give or take 40 goals for Dortmund. Nobody other than Lewandowski does that in any Bundesliga team.

I'm assuming he'll surely be signed by a team this summer then, sounds like Marco van Basten mixed with prime Adrey Shevchenko the way you talk about him.
