selling Odriozola and Asensio for 40/50 million combined will be amazing 2 useless players out and the club gets good money for a new attacking signing..maybe if Nkunku has another good performance for France we will go for him
Yea, I feel a reliable back up #9 option is more needed with the number of games Benz will be playing for club and country next season. Like the job Morata did in 2016-17.
⚽️ ÚLTIMA HORA | Informa @PacojoSER en @SERDeportivos El Real Madrid busca su 4ª pieza para rejuvenecer el centro del campo con Jude Bellingham ℹ️ En principio para 2023, pero no se descarta la posibilidad de que sea fichaje para este año si no se consigue traer otro RM might think about Bellingham this year and not at 2023.
We don’t NEED midfielders but if you can get Bellingham you do it now and ask questions later IMO. Of course, I don’t believe that report.
We did, and the squad is already stronger, but if the goal is to put the absolute best team out there while we have the best striker on earth for probably only another year or two, we can get a lot stronger at that position IMO.
Silly rumor. Dortmund have basically confirmed they won't even deal with Bellingham being front and center in their marketing. Regardless we have already signed our midfield for the future. It was Bellingham or Tchouameni; we chose Tchouameni
RB Leipzig have set a price of £100m for Christopher Nkunku, with the 24-year-old preferring to stay this summer, potentially frustrating a series of clubs but also setting up one of the sagas of 2023. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain have all looked into signing the player, who this season had a break-out campaign playing as a striker. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...kunku-man-utd-liverpool-arsenal-b2099723.html
Nkunku's buyout will be 60 ME next summer. We can have a look then if he replicates the scoring form of 2021-22 season. Not worth paying double that for a season with all the risks involved.
He is a psg academy. He said he wants to back home. But if Madrid ask for him.. maybe things would change. I still think Flo think about Mbappe in 2 years to give psg money and Mbappe would want a move.
On the Nkunku stuff. I think it should be a rule that you NEVER pay big money for a player based on only one season. Especially if the player is not a teenager any more. A club like Madrid should be assessing for absolute minimum two seasons because the likelihood of a player being world class completely out of the blue, without a history of excelling in youth teams etc, is next to nil. Even Ronaldo and Messi started off with average output in terms of goals and assists, despite performances during that time showing their huge potential.I just don’t see the “huge potential” part to Nkunku. Looks like an Aubameyang type of player - good but not amazing.
Talent-wise Auba comparison makes sense. Though Auba was never known for his professionalism. I hope Nkunku has better work ethic and attitude if he ends up at RM.
100% - he's 24 years old. True top talents excelled all the way from their U17, U21 and senior careers. Just like Mbappe, Aguero, Di Maria, Messi, Pogba, Ronaldo, etc. Some fizzle out earlier than others like Pogba, Ronaldinho, etc. - but all show their potential early on - not later in their careers. The only recent example I can think of is Virgil van Dijk; he reached his prime much later in his career.
I watched highlights of all his goals and assists for the year and they were typical Auba finishes. Opponents defence holds a high to medium line, through ball is played behind the high defence, striker collects the ball outside the box, takes a few touches and finishes inside the box. He’s not gonna get a lot of finishes like that at Madrid. Look at all our goals and most of the time the scorer will already be inside the box when he receives the ball for the finish, because the defences are much deeper. You don’t get to run behind the defence, take a few touches and steady yourself whilst entering the box, and then bury the 1v1. So you either need to have excellent touch inside the box, or great movement and finishing inside the box. I don’t see that in him.
Whenever we're linked to a Bundesliga player, I watch the highlights to get an idea. Without fail, I am astounded by the lack of quality of defenses and especially keepers. Always makes me skittish about the production coming from that league.
He was an AM until 2021-22 though and a pretty good one at that. 15 assists in Bundesliga in 2019-20 and 14 assists this season too despite role change.
We are not gonna spend 100 ME+ on Nkunku for sure. There will be way cheaper alternatives like maybe Gouiri. Nkunku is more of SS as well. He played off Andre Silva at RB. So don't see him as a player who can lead the line in post Benz era. Jovic also played off Haller at Frankfurt.
Gareth Bale is probably the ultimate example. Backup LB at 21-22, Prem POTY and world record signing at 24 to play RW.
