Anyone know where the Gvardiol guy is, i've seen him mentioned numerous times as a player to watch for both on here and other places and i don't see him anywhere re today's game, starting or on the bench, injured?, given a rest? still with the under 21's
Lewandowski: "When you have been at the club for so many years, you were always ready, you were available, despite the injuries and pain you gave your best, I think it will be best to find a good solution for both sides. And not to look for a one-sided decision."— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 6, 2022 Lewandowski: "It does not make sense. Not after this time. After such a successful path and on my part of readiness and support, this loyalty and respect are probably more important than this business"— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 6, 2022 Lewandowski: "What kind of player will want to go to Bayern knowing that something like this could happen to them? Where are the loyalty and respect then? I was always been ready, I spent 8 nice years here, I met wonderful people and I would like it to stay that way in my mind"— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) June 6, 2022
What's the story with Lewa being so "disappointed" by the way he has been treated at Bayern ? Is it just because they are not negotiating him or is there something else that happened that he wants out ? @4x4s
He wanted an extension until 2025 which they didn't offer (Bayen offered 2 year deal apparently) and also tried to sign Haaland in a rather public chase.
It's definitely fair to say that the lack of media coverage about the Yemen humanitarian disaster deserves big criticism while the atrocities in Ukraine have been given a big spotlight. But these sanctions and asset appropriations aren't about the color of the victims. You could say they are punishing very white Russians and letting non-white middle eastern Saudis off the hook no ? At the end of the day, it's about geo political alliances and the resources that they are attached to.
Disagree on this. If Saudi Arabia had invaded Ukraine, there would be the same sanctions in place against them. If Russia had invaded Yemen there would be minimal sanctions. This is about geopolitics but that geopolitical concern is essentially still driven by race. It’s specifically about the idea that Russia shouldn’t be allowed to redraw national lines in Europe. If Russia’s expansive foreign policy was redirected towards Asia or Africa rather than Europe, the reaction from the Americans and Europeans would be far less severe.
I think he legitimately wants to go, he's seeing the end of his career coming and probably feels like he's not getting his flowers, especially with others leaving and maximizing their potential taking that gamble. At the same time, Bayern have proven themselves to be stubborn and resilient so I don't know how this plays out if I'm honest. One of the two parties is going to look like a damn fool. If you ask me, Lewandowski has to press the issue by not going to practice. If he joins preseason regularly, that's it unless something shifts in the transfer market to where everything happens fast.
Key season for Nagelsmann. Doubt he'd want an unhappy player throughout next season if Lewa continues to rebel. I see Bayern selling once they get Mane.
I just can't see how Mane replaces Lewandowski though, who is far more prolific in front of goal and is a CF, Mane just isn't that guy, unless Bayern have a plan to bring someone else in as well
The Lewa story is crazy. These are damning quotes, he truly wants to go it seems. The tactics used are of classic nature. Lewa and Zahavi know that Barca is unable to satisfy Bayern's demands, so they go public. Not a fan of how they go about this, but it's the go-to tactic I guess and he'll fit right in at his preferred destination. Bayern is a stubborn club (and apparently a mess right now), but they will sell him in the end I think. Can't keep such a primadonna in the team for another season.
Lewandowski is far too ambitious to waste a season and fans in Munich don't give a f*** about a players wellbeing, that goes back to Hargreaves pouting to get a transfer to Manchester United and getting his shit beat the hell out of him for a season before they allowed him to go. Bayern keep saying he's not leaving and they'll say it to his face first thing when he arrives and I'm digging it. They gave Dortmund so much shit for how much they move to how the players want, I actually want them to back their words up and have Lewandowski play the season. I think they also believe he'll break once the transfer window is closed and switch to new contract mode.
Di Maria seems like a hell of a toxic individual. Only has trash to say about everybody and anybody. If you're unhappy and dislike people everywhere you've been, it's not them, it's you.
José Mourinho wants to continue his project with AS Roma despite PSG links. He’s focused on AS Roma, so José’s not planning to change as of today. 🇵🇹 #MourinhoAS Roma are also prepared to back Mourinho on the transfer strategies, after signing Svilar and Matić. pic.twitter.com/Z5FmDwenZv— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 7, 2022
He's probably hoping he can make his way back to us... which I wouldn't want to happen. Thanks for the memories though
This. He's still hoping we get him after Carlo leaves. He'd be the wrong guy to get the best out of our young players
