You are completely wrong. It was 2-1, that gol would have given us a 2-0 lead in 2h and having cabrito to counter a Germany that would have gone all in down 2 is a different game. But thanks for playing

Perhaps not a coincidence but I recall the wins a lot more than the losses... Especially elimination matches... too much trauma.

A lot of Mexico’s players are playing horrible because they have no competition. They’re comfortable knowing Tata is going to keep on playing them. They have their spot secured.

For example, Raul currently has no competition in the striker role. Imagine having someone in the bench like Chicharito ready to take advantage of the opportunity. Raul is going to feel the pressure and play better. Same goes for all the other positions.

Yep. Prior to that year's WC they were calling the Mexican NT el Tri-tanic...when that movie was still the rage the previous year. Good times. Shit hasn't changed.

Let the boycott begin. The OC Register once called Mexico "Corporate America’s Team." And it's only going to get worse: "La Tri will join El Tri with a U.S.-based tour beginning in 2023" (source). La tri? What the heck is that???

Anyway, stop consuming and divest from (if you have any money invested in these):

Sports are a fun lil distraction in between moments of mundanity that all lead to once place. Death. It's beautiful in that respect. I look forward to more decades of wasted time.

Mexico didn't walk through the hex lol, they drew a bunch of games if iirc. And they also struggled in cuscatlan, costa rica and usa both drew Mexico at the Azteca. That was the start of Costa Rica Golden generation.

Germany has arguably the best structure. I do agree that improving the quality of coaches would cause a ripple effect throughout the whole system. More talented young coaches with put pressure on the older coaches out there talking to change their style or not get me hired and you have better coaching on the youth and academy rankings all the way down.

This is an article for me 2018 but it goes to Belgium's revamping of the federation, national teams and league. There are too many people that enjoy being Kings of their little fiefdoms for this to ever happen in Mexico but if half of it could happen, it would revolutionize the country and the level of football.
