I'd much, much rather face Wales than Ukraine.

People wondering if Ukraine has it in them given the difficulties they faced, and a lot of people in the UK betting...

I think under normal circumstances Wales is a better team top to bottom than Ukraine, and when you factor in that half the Ukrainian team will be looking at a year without club matches, I don't see how you could prefer Wales

If you're the type to overvalue league status or a couple big names, it might also have something to do with the fact that the majority of Scotland's lineup starts regularly in the EPL (albeit mostly on bottom half/relegated sides), while the majority of Ukraine's lineup plays in the Ukrainian league, and they don't really have anyone with Andrew Robertson's pedigree.

What about the guy who actually won the Premier League this year?

Panama dominated Costa Rica today in Nations League, winning by a 2-0 scoreline at home.

I suspect that Costa Rica is a bit distracted. They have one more match at home against Martinique before they fly off to Qatar for the showdown against New Zealand.

Uruguay's looking good, should be a great test Sunday. Mexico looks hapless though.

Oof. Talk about a disaster. Can't say I don't enjoy it.

But who are we kidding? They'll scrape by into the round of 16 and get trounced by France. It's what they do.

Yeah, that was a surprise. Belgium looked uninspired.

  17. And that team L. van Gaal put on the pitch in my opinion isnot the best he could put in. He made some odd choices that I hope he will realize isnot the way to meet our opponents in the hot dunes.

England struggling at Hungary. Losing 1-0 on a penalty but to be fair, Hungary has had more than a few opportunities.

Also to be said that England had a mix of starters and backups in this match.

Well Hungary suggests England is beatable. That’s nice.

Anyone playing a 3-4-2-1 is beatable when Mason Mount is meant to be the playmaker.

Not quite surprising when your star player says that NL matches are glorified friendlies and that they play too many matches.

Which is a good point, but it seemed like only the Dutch were interested in playing that night.
