It would be a godsend if he stays and allows us to address our midfield issues without also replacing his quality minutes.

Ruben neves links would cost over 40m but would change the whole dynamic of our midfield and is exactly what Mourinho needs
One name I’m surprised I haven’t seen linked is Sporting’s Palhinha. He’s linked to Wolves right now for around 25 million and looks like what Roma have been needing in midfield.

Not shocked but sad to see. If he’s sold to an Italian team I assume there will be some swap involved, none are going to pay 50 million. Sky Sport Italia claim Roma have decided to put Nicolò Zaniolo on the transfer market for €50m and he is rejecting a Premier League move, preferring Milan or Juventus https://t.co/CVnCPvg0Ll #ASRoma #ACMilan #Juventus #NUFC #TransferNews— Football Italia (@footballitalia) June 3, 2022
Good news about Mkhitaryan tho - he’s rejected our latest contract offer to join Inter. Good riddance.
I think it’s for the best. He’s not going to get any better, in fact I will think he will continue to pick up injuries. Plus, he does have a heavier contract. I would rather find his replacement right now and not have to wait until the following summer.
We'll have to see how it all turns out at the end of the summer. However, if the goal of the summer is to close the gap on the Top 4, two of our best players moving to those clubs to start it off is certainly an interesting strategy. Especially, if some of the Zaniolo rumors are true in regard to us taking a player with high wages that Milan or Juve are trying to get off their books as part of the deal.
Decent signing, fills a role we sorely miss in midfield, adds some experience and gives Mou his man. Another mid with more running in his legs to compliment would be ideal.
