Gnabry is leaving Bayern because he’s rejecting what was rumoured to be a very generous offer from Bayern, so I’m not keen on us paying that money for a player who imo is ‘solid’ at best.

2 years down the line a gem might pop up and Rodrygo continues to develop and we’re stuck with a big contract again.

I’d rather sign Mane for the right side on a 3 year deal. Better player for a slightly less transfer fee.

One of the best players of Liverpool would go on a slighty less transfer fee than Gnabry?

Mane won't take 3 year deal. He's getting 4 year deal certainly and PL media is already pushing for him to win BDR. Gnabry rejected 9 ME nett from Bayern. Mane is looking for 15 ME nett range. Imagine another Hazard, Bale type wages player in his 30s who can only play as LW or false 9? That's way worse if it goes wrong than Gnabry.

The position is a major red flag, even if I think his style would allow him to be a RW threat, it’s not backed by any stats because he’s exclusively played as a LW until very recently.

It’s the fact that he’s a different level to Gnabry, who doesn’t excite me at all that does it.

i will sell Asensio+Ordi+Mayoral=50m for all of them
Mariano and Jovic too=20 each..it will cover the cost of Gnabry
and try to get a real back ST(Nunes, Nkunko,Richarlison) that will cover with Gnabry combine the goals that Mbappe will bring here...
i dont know what about RB but probably it woudnt come one.

You can't sell players who don't want to leave.

There’s no such thing as free. There are signing bonuses as well as the fact that neither Pogba and Dybala have any resale value.

Mane has no resale value and has dropped off considerably. Finishing is still there but explosiveness is not there.

There are signing bonuses for the 80 million euro transfers as well. As for resale value, I would rather ensure winning a couple of league titles in the next years while Barca is still in rebuild than worry about resale value. Obviously, wages would be key, but reports show what Pogba and Dybala are agreeing to at Juventus and Inter is not exorbitant. Anyway, Im not even that into this particular scenario. Its just an example of how the club could pursue a more active transfer strategy. It goes for the departures as well. Florentino needs to kick on and kick out Jovic and Asensio asap.

Not opposed to free transfers either, for the right player you’re getting the player cheaper obviously. I just don’t think either of those are the right player, where as Alaba and Rudiger are much safer bets. I think Dybala for Inter is a great fit.

Yea. And Henry at 31 went from fantastic in 2008-09 to unplayable next season at Barca when he lost that burst of pace. Gotta be wary of players overly dependant on pace reaching their 30s.

Mane is looking for a well deserved retirement/final payday contract. He's flirting with a lot of teams.

Gnabry is consistent, and a good player. Depends on the cost.

Only thing missing from that list is the necessary departures. But yes, totally agree.

Personally I am a fan of the idea of Rodrygo being 12th man/first off the bench for all three attacking positions.

Bayern fans don't rate Gnabry or something? Hardly seeing any outrage over the possibility of the player leaving them and joining us...

Gnabry would be a good signing in terms of depth as we add another player who can score 15-20 goals per season and hopefully get rid of Asensio. But he doesn't change the dynamic of the team or add something we don't already have. His skill set is so similar to Rodrygo's that I imagine Gnabry as a more "mature" or "cooked" version of Rodrygo, if that makes sense.

Bayern is hardly arsed because they are practically already writing articles about the club winning the 22-23 German league trophy.

and where are you looking? Seems like most fans don’t want him to leave on Twitter.

They weren’t too bothered about Alaba or Kroos leaving either.

Even if Rodrygo continues to play like last 2 months, it's dangerous to go with just him, Vini and Benz as offensive contributors. Gotta consider Benzema's age as well. Even though Asensio doesn't provide much outside a dozen or so Golazos, he played 1700+ mins in La Liga and scored 10 goals. Some of the goals were crucial in 1 goal margin wins.

There's enough minutes in a long season for 4 attacking players even if there are no injuries. So Gnabry would be fantastic addition to our league campaign if he continues to give 15-20 goals at RM as well. I expect a much tougher challenge from Barca next season especially if they land Lewandowski.

Right now his competition for RW is Fede and latter is clearly winning there in big games. If 80 M Tchouameni comes, he's more likely to take minutes away from Kroos. Competition is always good anyways as long as there's enough minutes for youngsters to grow.

Rodrygo will have to adapt to RW or false 9 role with Vini at LW so it's good for him to gain consistency there. Asensio/Rodrygo RW was a weakness for majority of this season tbh. Rodrygo stepped up in last couple of months.
