🚨🇲🇽🇺🇸 https://t.co/VRc8degUK9— Julio Rodríguez (@julioordz10) May 20, 2022
They are grown men and can do what they want but these guys really need to think about this decision and their ability to switch after this round of games.
Yes really. I don't think USA is the right call for Ledezma maybe JoGo but both countries have LB depth issues so there is room.
Well well, apparently Ledezma just declined the call up to the US senior team to play in the nations league.
fmf is betting everything on those guys but what if results that arent as good as people tought does fmf has a plan b for that?
I don’t interpret this as “betting everything on those guys”. I think that call ups to the Mexican national team have been “watered down”. I remember when Guardado was called up as a teenager and even more recently, Hirving Lozano. Those 2 were clearly special players. None of these guys are even remotely close to what Guardado and Lozano were as teenagers and called up. I know players can develop further into their playing careers. The hype on these types of players gets out if control most of the time. It’s not saying that they are good or bad, it’s saying “does their hype match their actual skill set or accomplishments”. Take Efraín Álvarez. Their was massive hype around him especially after being bautizado by Zlatan as the best teenager or young MLS player (or something like that). When he played his first match with the Mexican National team (against Costa Rica), he was out of his league (contrast of styles, different playing rhythm, etc…). Most of us wanted him to succeed cause we want the Mexican National team to succeed but this is a good example of what ends up happening in situations like this (not that there has been many). For me, if they can make a difference, they are welcome. If not, well…
Both players have enormous potential and are still very young. A kid like Gomez was looking good in USL but is now benchwarmer in La Liga 2. What if he finally finds his feet and becomes one of the best young players in the world. Neither the US or Mex want to be the one that wrote him off. Ledezma is a ball playing attacker with potential. Now the funny thing here is both countries have guys who seem to be their future 10s in Reyna for the US and the recently secured Flores. However, as they say iron sharpens iron and I will never forgot how in 2010 WC Holland had Wesley Schneijder who was in the form of his life for club and country but they also had Rafael van der Vaart who was in good club form backing him up and pushing him because RvdV was ready is WS slipped in form or got hurt. Again no one is sure how well Ledezma will turn out but you don't want to not put your best foot forward and try and recruit a player like that should they become an absolute baller.
Well Lozano didn't get called up until he was 20 but I get your point. I feel that FMF is throwing there net as wide as they can to seee if they catch a diamond.
They kinda of have to or risk losing a top talent, US will continue to cap tie young duals to get the upper hand. I don't agree with it but is what it is at this point. I will say that whatever Deadtiger is a fan is overselling these dual guys
That is really subjective at this point. The problem is not that Mexico is incapable of producing top talent, it is the mismanagement of Mexican fútbol by Mexico’s fútbol owners-but that is an entirely different subject.
OK, so Mexico doesn't produce top talent but every 20 years but they produce enough talent to be a top 15 nation and a nation no one wants in their group. I'm not satisfied but we could be one of the other 190+ nations, which would be worse
I guess my comment could have been interpreted incorrectly. What I meant is, Mexico can produce an Hugo Sánchez, Rafa Márquez, Tecate, Lozano and Javier Hernández, Carlos Vela etcétera… We need those level players and above. All those players at a young age were special (Vela even now).

All I know is the nalgona Palafox was on Pachuca and they got beat by Chivas...also the players look like children to me. lol
