I don't doubt Mourinho returning to elite some day, like Carlo did this year. Jose is amazing. The CLs he won, man... No Messi, No CR, no billions of euros. That's impressive.
I am not sure how much role does "billions of euros" play in winning CL as demonstrated by Man City and PSG!
I wouldn’t rule it out. Oddly I could see him return to Chelsea now that there are new owners. Tuchel won’t last beyond next year, I think Chelsea will have a hard time to get top 4 next year. He’s definitely been humbled and doesn’t even like the whole Special One name anymore. He’s still sharp tactically and still can man manage with the right group.
Congrats to Mou. An Italian club wins a European competition for the first time since his Inter Milan did it in 2010. Dude wins everywhere except Spurs. [emoji106][emoji106]
Said it when he went to Roma, it’s the right club for him at this stage in his career. They are stoked to have him and he doesn’t have a squad that has been successful so won’t buy into his stuff. They are hungry for success.
I love Mourinho but he has been disappointing in the Serie A this year. Very antiquated football, a lot of lapses and last minute defeats. Rui Patricio has been his signing and he has been shit. Abraham is not as good as his goalscoring record, he's slow and misses way too much. He has great midfield players with Pellegrini, Mkhitarian, Zaniolo but there still isnt much creativity or chemistry. Hes a legend no doubt about it but he hasn't managed to adapt to the times like Ancelotti has.
The exact same line that was given to Mbappe’s mom to spew to the media when laying the groundwork before the renewal announcement. Easy to figure out the origin of it. Ceferin might as well make it official and post his vacation photos with Nasser. Not since I’ve been a fan that I’ve seen us cornered like this. We’ve always had professional “enemies” but this goes beyond business. Qatari businessmen are beyond disgusting. Ceferin at least has beef because the ESL was about to put him out of business but Florentino tried his utmost to keep things respectful with PSG, issuing official statements to deny rumors. Offering a silly 200M so they could save face. Now we face bigger obstacles in almost all sporting aspects and we can only imagine what kind of influence and pressure Qatar is deploying on our business partners. We’ll have to fight our way out of all this and it’s gonna take years.
Patricio made two very incredible saves today in the final. As far as the league goes, they were close to a top 4 spot but I think squad depth (lack of) and injuries had them fade. I mean, they missed two penalties in the draw with Venzia. That sums it up pretty much. He has to finish top 4 next year regardless. If he could get a couple of signings in it should be attainable.
It's a ridiculous statement, our financial situations aren't the same. PSG loses money, they aren't in a position to afford the extension without financial doping. Real Madrid otoh actually acted responsibly, we sold players, made do with what we had so that financially we could afford to sign Mbappe.
Like I said before, I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years we find out how truly corrupt Aleksander Ceferin is. There is a high chance imo that he's being bribed by the Qataris. Heck he gave Nasser El-Khelafi an important UEFA position. Ceferin is more corrupt than Blatter and Platini. One of the twitter posters shared this on there: The fact that the head of UEFA is spitting on FFP just shows how truly messed up this whole situation is. But Florentino gave them a scapegoat with the ESL, so they're happy as pie that they aren't having to answer the difficult questions. Key UEFA and Fifa figures like Platini and Infantino have been accused by Der Spiegel and Football leaks to have been helping PSG cover up fraud and financial doping for years. https://www.mediapart.fr/en/journal...ver-psg-financial-fair-play-fraud?onglet=full https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/soccer-files-fairplay/#sidebar-documents
Julián Álvarez scored 6 goals in the Libertadores cup for River plate this night. He signed for Man City few months ago. Will be interesting to see him compete with Haland. He also played one month in the past at RM academy. I think he can become really killer ST
Jose Mourinho after winning the European conference league. https://www.espn.com/soccer/as-roma...coaching-history-with-conference-league-title
Jose has seen Capello, ZZ and Carlo returning and be successful in second stints with RM so he's hoping for that in future. Especially Carlo went to Everton level and still got the chance.
I don’t think it’s too outlandish to speculate. Especially after he’s seen Carlo come back and be successful he dreams that his time may come again too.
Neymar on PSG exit rumours: "It is very true that I want to stay at PSG. Nobody told me anything about it. For my part, it is clear that I want to stay here in Paris"
Harry Redknapp: "I signed a player once. Top player. We'd done the deal, then he wanted a goal bonus. He was a striker. I said 'What do you think we're paying you 50 grand a week for, to miss them?'" 🤣 pic.twitter.com/9mKAElUO70— SPORTbible (@sportbible) May 25, 2022
