Salah would cost more than Gnabry i think, is older and i am not sure he would accept the same kind of turn over or to be subbed in Big games. You have to get a player that will share thé wing with Rodrygo.
I don't think anyone is arguing that Salah is the better player but with that comes a bigger price tag + wages. I wouldn't even rule out Salah, but I'm not going any higher than 3 years on the player due to age, which I doubt he agrees to.
I didn’t think about it more seriously because we were due to sign Mbappe until he shit the bed but I’d now try and bring Cristiano back for a 2+1 contract. Won’t demand a high transfer fee Man Utd won’t stand in his way Salary will be what we’d pay for a top tier player anyway. 2+1 might work in our favour if we’re going after Haaland later.
we already offer to PSG 180m over Mbappe+wages+signing fee that are over the edge, we can buy Salah in 120m and pay him less. i think that Perez need it to himself too
I think there’smore than what it meets the eye in the mbappe renewal. kinda get the feeling he was forced
Mbappe just 23 years old. He got an proposal from psg that he just cannot resist. He said to himself that in 3 years, maybe 2, when he will be 25-26 he can join Madrid. That’s all. As his eyes, he just wanted everyone be happy. He for himself that he continue with his France team, and maybe Madrid when he will be 25-26 for 5-6 years at his peak. At least, he earned the money for his future generations. I am convinced and sure that at age 26 he will 100 % join us if madrid accept him. Madrid in 2026, with Vini, Rodrygo, Mbappe and Endrick can be very scary team
We aren't paying 120m for a 30 year old after that Hazard debacle. Thank god you aren't in charge. This isn't FIFA
🎙| @IanDoyleSport on Tchouaméni: “Everything is pointing to the fact he will join Real Madrid. Liverpool have been informed by the player's representatives that he wants a move to the Spanish side.” via @AnfieldWatch— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 23, 2022 Let’s go!
Salah might be the better pickup than Mbappe for what the teams needs are currently, and that's a RWF. Sucks to miss out in Mbappe but Vinicius might get to that level in a year or two and we will have missed out on nothing and instead may have dodged a bullet.
I like Gnabry or Bernardo Silva as our RW alternatives. One is more direct and goalscoring, the other more of a playmaker. Either way, mobile and hardworking, plus proven CL/international quality. Both players seem to be unsettled in their current clubs, so hopefully a < 60M bid can bring them over. That should address the Asensio upgrade while Rodrygo would be first off the bench for both LW and RW. Defense seems to be already addressed with Rudiger and Fran Garcia, and that leaves a backup striker and a midfield rotation option to backup Casemiro. If we can offload Jovic and Mariano and get Unes Unal who has been magic for Getafe, I would be very happy. If not, Mayoral is reliable and would be alright. For DM, Tchoumani is an obvious option, though I dont know if we should enter a bidding war with PSG and Liverpool for him. Best case: In - Rudiger, Fran Garcia, young pacey 2-way RB, Tchoumani, Bernardo Silva, Unes Unal Out - Vallejo, Odriozola, Ceballos, Brahim, Kubo, Asensio, Mariano, Jovic, Mayoral
Yeah I have learned my lesson lol. Even Florentino with the most money we have had can't assure anything when these oil states are competing.
I could bear him choosing Liverpool over us, and being bought into their project, but if PSG sign Tchouameni then I'm going to lose my shit LOL
Gonna lose out on this gem because of KMC probably, damn. ❗️Tchouaméni wants game time & in recent weeks, he’s looked at possible gaps in the starting XI, for the teams who’re interested in him. @marca #rmalive— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) May 23, 2022
Bernardo Silva is an absolutely elite level player IMO but I can’t envision a world where City sells him to us for a remotely reasonable sum even if they decide to move him.
Its almost a given that in 2023 one or both of Modric and Kroos are leaving the team, and its very likely that both would be seeing plenty of bench time this coming season. Casemiro will probably also get rotated heavily, he has been playing non-stop for years and has a WC to be fresh for. I cant see how Tchoumani looks at our midfield and doesnt see himself getting plenty of minutes next season and a starting spot in 1-2 years.
He was vocal about wanting to leave last summer and was available for 50M, shocking no one made a move for him. City probably will give first dibs to Barca and will probably ask us for a premium over asking price but he is a 70M level player IMO.
You could argue Klopp's system makes Salah look way better than he actually he is. It's not like Salah is outstanding with Egypt...
It depends on how much patience he has, Camavinga said that he was told he wouldn't be a starter and that he was ok with it, Would Tchouameni be patient in a world cup year knowing he could lose his spot on the national team if he ends not getting many minutes and also knowing that it would be easier for him to get into the Liverpool first 11? i wouldn't bet on it, hope i'm wrong though because to me he is a must have.
He has 47 goals in 84 games, and led a terrible Egypt team to 2 AFCON finals and a WC, plus a penalty shootout away from another. Anybody that actually watches him play will tell you he has been more than outstanding.
