How do you know that he's not going to use us to get himself another contract worth 500 million euros?

I don’t, and neither do you. All I’m saying is you never know. If he is the best in the world in 2-3 years I think Madrid still goes for him. It’s just a hunch.

He and the PSG guy have some quotes from today that are interesting. Saying Madrid could pay more than PSG but it wasn’t all about money……….lol

I would prefer to turn the page completely, but really the answer to “will we pursue him again” is unknowable. It depends a lot on whether Flo is still our president, and whether Flo felt betrayed or not.

Mbappe is already posturing saying he respects Real Madrid/Perez and how good the club was to him. I'm sure Mbappe communicated to Flo that Qatar is handing him half a billion euros for 2-3 years work and it's an offer he could not refuse.

Flo understands business as much as anyone, I don't think this is nearly as personal as fans make it out to be.

Depends on how he handled it, which we don’t know the ins and outs of. If he just explained that to Flo without hiding it, I think Flo would understand. If he used the offer from Madrid to jack PSG’s offer up to what he wanted, then bounced on Flo and ignored his calls, then I think the door is closed on him.

Flo knows what happened so I’d be interested to hear what he has to say. Again, I doubt he says much or goes into detail about it, but we’ll see.

I'm pretty confident once Vinicius reaches his prime, that player does not interest us.

There was a report that he told Perez via text. Not sure how true that is but it's the only thing we've heard so far and it really wouldn't reflect positively on the player.

Yes a lot being reported but nothing from Flo or officially from the club, and I expect there never will be. Any press releases or info from Mbappe and his camp don’t count.

Florentino Perez should have given Mbappe a deadline to decide if he wants to come to Real Madrid or not. He was free to sign with Real Madrid AT LEAST since the round of 16, and Florentino didn't have alarm bells going off when he refused to put pen to paper? Why? Because he didn't wanna hurt PSG fans feelings? Mbappe could have legally signed his paperwork with Real Madrid well in advance and made the official announcement later. What good is his word when it legally doesn't protect our club? Florentino even behaved smarter with Figo's transfer, where the agent was legally obligated to bring him or else they were paying a hefty fee.

This was poor planning by Florentino and we should have never given Mbappe a chance to ruin our summer plans.

People in Europe laugh at how American operates, with salary caps and lack of relegation, yet football clubs are competing against the treasuries of Arab countries. That kinda stuff wouldn't happen here. This sport is tainted as fnck and somehow the gullible Real Madrid haters don't see what this means to Football itself.

French journalists like Julien Laurens and Madrid haters like Frank Lebeouf trying to justify Mbappe's decision to stay as anything other than financial is comical. If you wanna have a laugh, read this:

    https://www.espn.com/soccer/paris-s...the-critical-moments-that-led-to-his-decision

" The forward told both clubs back in February that he would do it his way in terms of deadlines, timings and ways of deciding.".

The MOMENT Florentino Perez got this news, he should've pulled the plug and told him to ******** off. I get it: Top talent has an unbelievable cost in todays hyper inflated economy thanks to state funded teams. But we didn't need to play his game.

Maybe not certainly better but I am almost sure that there will be the discussion who is the better between them. Something like Messi vs CR7.
Also I would love to beat PSG again at the Bernabeu, preferably with another hat trick from Benzema or Vinnie.
However, I think that in 3 years time at least one more "generational" talent will emerge. It won't be just Mbappe, Haaland and VJ. Let's see.

He's an imbecile. Any player has a 5-year cycle at a club then look for new challenges. He was at that point and he should've taken it; he will regret it. I promise.

I don't even see how anyone can spin this positively for the future. In what world can we as a club enter another charade with that kid and his mom?

They have burned us enough and he isn't the only great talent.

If we develop Vinicius and Rodrygo well we may need a CF and not a speedy wide attacker... so we may be more concerned with Halaand or the next big thing in 2025; not Mbappe.

The door has to be closed. We need to be respected as an institution. Personally I want people to look back and mock those cartoons he put out.

There isn't a way to say any of this this reflects positively on the player. Either he's playing for money or he's so unsure of what he wants that he leads both clubs on. If I'm PSG I'd want my best player to want to be there and be 100% focused on our project, if I'm a Madrid fan I'd feel the same way.

He's young and stupid. Mbappe has already earned generational wealth off his first PSG contract. He'll look back one day and regret the precious years and time he wasted off his career that he will never get back.

It's not even about coming to Madrid or not, the guy lacks ambition and has solidified pretender status.

It looks like he ghosted Florentino in the last week . And then sent him the message via WhatsApp.

PSG astutely leaked news that they were pessimistic about re-signing him in the final days just to throw Florentino off. That’s why you had reports from both camps saying they were both pessimistic. His mother set narrative that it isn't about money to make him not look like a total pesetero.

Mbappe will later today will interview to MARCA and give explanations to Madrid fans.
I guess he saw that over 700K users exit his Instagram page, and he want to keep the door open for 2025-2026 when he will be 26 years old and still young to be at his peak for 5-6 years more. the problem for him that the Bernabeu crowd is very difficult and won’t forget him how he played us.
Today at his conference interview he said that he didn’t said “No” to Madrid, but yes to France his country and home, and that is not the right time to leave for free.

But utter it’s his home and he didn’t sign for the money in the same breath.

He doesn’t know what he wants because his mum and dad tell him what to do.

I'm pretty sure people won't have an issue with him in 3 years. It happens all the time. People "forgave" LeBron, people "forgave" Kevin Durant which did an even bigger bitch move. People forget and talk about taking the high road.

Me personally though? I'll never like Mbappe. I used to think he will be our golden boy. But now I never want to see him in our white shirt ever.
